The Love Library print reference collection provides access to information essential to the instructional, research, and service programs of the University community. It integrates with the library electronic reference collection and operates according to principles stated in the University Libraries Reference Collection Development Policy. As a result it primarily contains items preferred in print because of cost, availability, use patterns, ease of use, archival needs, completeness, need for official text, need for cumulative data, delays in the publication of electronic versions, or instability of online sources. The Love Library print reference collection offers general reference materials and supports the curricula …

The Relationship Between Library Professional Development And Technology In School Media Centers, Crystal L. O'Malley
Theses and Dissertations
The purpose of this study was to determine if there was a correlation between how school media specialists learn about new technologies and the implementation of those technologies into their school media centers. The researcher expected that the more hours media specialists spent in professional development activities, the more likely it would be that the technologies learned in the professional development activities would be implemented in their media centers. The survey was prepared and sent to 126 media specialists throughout New Jersey. Sixty-one media specialists responded. The results of the survey indicated that there was some correlation between certain types …

Library Philosophy and Practice (e-journal)
Rapid expansion of knowledge and new technology have had an effect on national development. Development is influenced by factors such as culture, economy, and education. Libraries are important indicators of growth and development. They provide scientific services, fulfill social needs, and help individuals flourish. Librarians and library and information science (LIS) programs must recognize the need to change in order to strengthen development. This study discusses changing LIS curricula and the necessity of curricular changes in this field in Iran as a key factor in national development. The study provides some guidelines for these objectives.

Small Group Teaching In Library And Information Science, Razieh Zahedi
Library Philosophy and Practice (e-journal)
Educational systems must recognize and develop students' potential. The educational environment is very influential in doing this. Small group teaching provides such an environment.
