Four publishing companies in Ibadan were sampled to determine their impact on availability and accessibility of indigenous books in Nigeria educational sector, the impact of indigenous publishing on educational development in Nigeria, constraints to indigenous publishing in Nigeria and ways of promoting indigenous publishing in Nigeria. This study investigated information retrieval tools and library environment as correlates of library utilization by students of Rivers State University, Port Harcourt. Three research questions were posed and two hypotheses were formulated for the study. The study adopted a correlational design. study aims at identifying the information needs of women in South-South Prison, Nigeria. The descriptive survey design was adopted for this study. The census sampling technique was adopted for this study. Four objectives were set for the study and the interview was used to elicit information from respondents. Findings showed that Akwa-Ibom Prison topped the highest (21%) of the women in South-South Prison, followed by Cross River Prison (19%), Delta Prison (18%), Edo Prison/Rivers Prison (17%) and Bayelsa Prison (8%). This paper presents a bibliometric study of Astrobiology during the period of 2012-2017. A total of 519 articles and 3048 authors in the journal were examined by year to ascertain authorship patterns, author productivity, and degree of collaboration. The average number of authors per paper is 5.872 % and the average productivity per author is 0.170%. The average degree of collaboration is 0.861, which clearly indicates its dominance upon multi authored contributions.

Scientometric study is an effective assessment tool for ongoing researches in a given field. It applies mathematical and statistical methods to study the use of documents and patterns of publication. Present work attempts to describe the patterns of publication by top ten Indian Academic/Research Organizations in the field of Biotechnology. Overall, 5423 articles were related to the field in Scopus database during 2001-2016.
