This study aimed to determine the factors that affect the retention of all 3rd year CE students of Saint Mary’s University using percentage, frequency, rank, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson correlation. Results revealed that majority of the respondents hardly visited the library. Majority of the respondents borrowed Engineering-related books and have read books at the Engineering Section while the least visited section was the periodicals section. Demographic Characteristics And Information Technology Competence Skills On The Use Of E-Portal Among Undergraduates In Adeyemi College Of Education, Ondo, Christopher Omotunde, Opeyemi Omotunde

This study investigated the influence of demographic characteristics and information technology competence skills on the use of E-portal among undergraduates in Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo State, Nigeria. The findings revealed a positive significant relationship between IT competence skill and their use of e-portal (r= .190, p<0.05). Gender has a significant influence on the use of e-portal (t=2.071, p<0.05) also, respondents age has a significant influence on use of e-portal (F (3; 246) =2.892; p<0.05). The study concluded that IT competence skills and demographic characteristics of undergraduates have an influence on the use of E-portal. It is recommended that higher institutions of learning in Nigeria should further explore the potentials of E-portal for its teaching, learning and research.

Information enables individuals to develop knowledge which can influence their health behavior and attitude while inadequate literacy about health information is associated with poor understanding of medical advice and negative health outcomes among the population. Skin bleaching is a health practice involving the (mis)use of chemical solutions to change one’s complexion to a lighter tone. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the hospitality students’ perception of library service quality provided by the institute using a well-known measurement model LibQUAL. A structured questionnaire with 22 items on three dimensions of LibQUAL was distributed to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) students using Google forms. The mean differences between the UG and PG were analyzed using independent sample t-test. The study presents the trends in authorship pattern and authors collaborative research in Astrophysics with a sample of 411 articles during the period 2008-2017. The study found single author has contributed 133 with (32.3 %), Multi authored articles are dominant i.e. 278 (67.6 %). The mean value for the overall degree of collaboration for the 2008-2017 is found to be 0.67, the collaboration index increased from 5.18 in 2008 to 8.22 in 2017 with an average of 4.00. The major objectives of the study are to analyze the purpose, level of awareness, perception, and satisfaction towards the use of e-resources.
