The present study aims to study the status of open access e-book repositories in the OpenDOAR. In order to fulfill the set objectives, relevant data were extracted from the OpenDOAR and was organized in tabular forms based on certain parameters viz: Geographical distribution, Software usage, Language diversity, Subject coverage, Operational status, Repository type and Growth of Repositories. The findings reveal that repositories containing books were 1329 in number, out of which Europe was seen to be the most dominating continent contributing 55.2% of the repositories. Purpose: of this research is to assess services quality in Tabriz Central Library using LibQual model.

Methodology: Applied research method is used approach. The basis of this survey involved LibQual model questionnaire that consist of 28 items in three dimensions (affect of services, service control and library as a place and space).

This paper analyses customer satisfaction with services of the Sokoine National Agricultural Library (SNAL) using a mixed method approach. Both qualitative and quantitative data were collected using questionnaire and interviews, which were supplemented by document analysis. A total of 72 respondents were selected using simple random and purposive sampling procedures. Data were analysed descriptively and were presented in tables, pie charts and percentages. The expectancy-disconfirmation theory with Four-Level Zone of Tolerance (ZoT) developed by Oliver (1980) guided data analysis in this study.

The study analyse the multiple intelligence skills of LIS professionals in working government and private universities in Tamil Nadu. Data were collected through questionnaire method. Totally 441 questionnaire were collected from 114 in traditional, 291 in Professional and 36 in Multi-discipline subjects. Abstract

Purpose: to assess the cervical cancer knowledge of female librarians in Imo State. The assessment was in terms of the risk factors; signs and symptoms, screening and control.

Design: It was a descriptive survey of female librarians in Nigeria.

Findings: Female librarians have very poor knowledge of cervical cancer health in all its ramifications. And up-take was abysmally low (5%). Urgent intervention is needed to raise their awareness.

Originality/Value: It is the first survey of librarians’ cervical cancer health literacy in Nigeria. Data collected provides good bases for intervention and policy.

This study evidences the growth of research literature produced by AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences) for the period of 2007 to 2016. A total of 14410 records were retrieved from the Scopus database. Descriptive statistics for the research publication output revealed mean = 1441, Sd = 318.92, minimum = 1087, maximum = 2141 at 95.0% confidence level. The curve fitting methodology was used to fit the growth of research publication of AIIMS. R square value for exponential growth model is higher (0.908) than the linear growth model (0.849). To support SJSU’s College of Science's efforts to identify and quantify science faculty research publications for fund disbursement, we compiled a bibliography of science faculty research and scholarship. The citation lists would be used to develop and formalize baseline research metrics. This paper examined the selection practices of electronic resources in federal university libraries in South East Nigeria. The objectives of the study include to find out; who is responsible for selecting electronic resources in the libraries under study; the tools that guide the librarians in selecting electronic resources; the criteria considered by the libraries in evaluating electronic resources for acquisition. Abstract

Purpose: This paper reports a study, which examined the specific information needs and sources of Maasai pastoralists at Orkesumet area in Simanjiro District, Manyara -Tanzania

Design/methodology/approach: The study used pragmatism paradigm which is a mixed method approach. Simple random sampling was used to select 40 respondents from the five villages (Mukumbi, Naibor-enderit, Narosoito, Orkirung’urung’ and Endonyengijape. Purposive sampling was used to select clan leaders (Ilaigwanak and Ingopir), two from each of the five villages forming ten purposively selected respondents. Questionnaire, interview schedule, and observation were designed to extract information from respondents.
