This paper examines the validity of Lotka’s law of scientific publication productivity of the articles published on Bell’s palsy disease during 2004-2018. Data for this analysis was retrieved from WOS data base of Clarivate analytics. In this study, the straight and complete count of authorship was used. A total of 4039 articles along with 3384 and 14517 authors were identified by using straight and complete count method of authorship respectively. K-S goodness of- fit statistical test were employed to verify the applicability of Lotka’s law. The results showed that, Lotka’s law fits with the data of straight count of authors. …

In this study a scientometric analysis of the global toxicology research output during 2008-2017 was performed based on the data retrieved from SCOPUS database. This study analyses the global research output in toxicology research on different parameters including the growth, global publication share and rank, contribution of major subject areas, contribution and citation impact of the most productive authors, affiliations and journals. A total of 29374 papers were published during 2008-2017 on toxicology research. Top 10 countries contributed 85.68% share of total publications. The study examined demographic factors as correlate of use of library information resources by undergraduates in Nigeria. One hypothesis was tested for the study and the descriptive research design was adopted for the study. The population of the study is 24,545 and 4284 undergraduate students in Delta State university, Abraka and Novena university, Ogume. The Present Study analyzed research productivity in Journal of Documentation (JDoc) for a period of 30 years between 1989 and 2018. Web of Science database a service from Clarivate Analytics has been used to download citation and source data. Bibexcel and Histcite application software have been used to present the datasets. Analysis part focuses on the parameters like citation impact at local and global level, influential authors and their total output, ranking of contributing institutions and countries. In addition to this scientographical mapping of data is presented through graphs using VOSviewer software mapping technique.

Introduction: This study conducted to assess the discipline specific and general skill level of librarians working in libraries of the top three Iranian medical universities in Tehran.
Methods: The survey was carried out among all 115 librarians working in the libraries of Iran, Tehran and Shahid-Beheshti University of Medical Sciences. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and one-way ANOVA.

The study has ranked Indian Institutes of Technology based on the number of citations of top 10 profiles on Google Scholar. The methodology prescribed by the Ranking Web of Universities has been adopted. Top ten user profiles based on the number of citations on Google Scholar have been considered for each of the 23 IITs using institutional email domain. The first (top 1) profile of the list is excluded for improving representativeness. Academic librarian job advertisements often use personality traits to describe future job candidates. No study has looked at what personality traits are used most frequently in librarian job advertisements and whether they tie to job performance through the Big Five personality dimensions. Content analysis of librarian job advertisements from the last three months of 2018 showed that the most used personality traits were creative, innovative, and collaborative. Although the Big Five dimension of conscientiousness has been linked to job performance, only 16% of job advertisements used personality traits in that dimension

The study focused on sources, format preference and challenges faced by the engineering students of the Federal Polytechnic Ede, Osun State in accessing Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) information resources. The study adopted a survey method. Questionnaire was administered on a sample size of 379 students selected from the School of Engineering of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, from a population of 7400 students through a stratified sampling technique. 306 sets of questionnaire were returned and valid for analysis, representing 80.74% return rate. The study investigated the information needs and seeking behaviour of undergraduate students of National Open University of Nigeria, Makurdi Study Centre. A survey was carried out, with samples of respondents from the Study Area. The sample consisted of 111 undergraduate students selected for the study. Simple Sampling method was used. The results provide an insight into the student’s information seeking behaviour and the information sources used in digital era. This study examined information acquisition and ICT use as predictors of employee satisfaction in microfinance banks in South-West, Nigeria. Survey research design was used. Multi-stage sampling techniques were used in selecting 600 employees. An average of six respondents was selected from operation and marketing staff of each of the 95 selected banks across the six states in the South western Nigeria. The instruments for data collection were employee satisfaction scale (0.78), frequency of information acquisition of employee questionnaire (0.83) and ICT use scale (0.76).
