Nationwide, the numbers of transfer students on college and university campuses are increasing; however, libraries have not fully recognized the unique needs of transfer students with respect to students' attainment of information literacy competencies. The aim of this exploratory study was to investigate how librarians at a public university in Dubai could support the information literacy of student tutors through collaboration with a peer-to-peer learning assistance program. We sought to understand how peer tutors experience, develop and share their information literacy skills. We conducted workshops to help tutors become more aware of information literacy and to develop their fluency and confidence in applying these skills as students and as tutors. Ex Libris provides some useful documentation for “Alma-Summon Integration” but it is not complete. Most Alma documentation and online help pages assume you are using Primo. Sometimes the Alma configurations for Primo apply to Summon, but mostly they do not. The ELUNA Summon Product Working Group members using Summon over Alma started a project to identify existing documentation, consolidate it, and create supplemental documentation where necessary. We hope this will help Ex Libris provide better support for Summon over Alma.

In this chapter, librarians discuss the process of taking part in a university co-curricular residential learning program that effectively tripled attendance at library workshops and continues to challenge and inspire librarians to try new topics and partnerships. By connecting the programs to campus learning goals, the number of library events grew 50% over one year, with individuals from multiple library departments hosting or supporting the events. To guide the study, three research questions and one hypothesis have been formulated. The study adopted the descriptive survey design. Evaluating Special Education Journals With H-Type Indices And Journal Impact Factors, Zao Liu

This paper evaluates special education journals using the h-type indices and journal impact factor. Fifty-seven special education journals were selected from the special education category of Clarivate Analytics’ Journal Citation Reports (JCR) and two published lists of special education journals. The journal h-indices were compared among themselves and with their available impact factors. The correlation analysis of the metrics found very strong positive relationships between the journal h-type indices and between the Web of Science h-index and the journal impact factors.
