This article will discuss a social network analysis of tweets within the #MyNYPD protest, a public protest against police brutality and abuse of power that occurred via Twitter. I examined the five days containing the most tweets from six months of collected data to understand: What are the relationships between/among players’ activity online? The tweets were collected through Node XL and then analyzed through Gephi, social network analysis software. Throughout his spiritual autobiography, Ignatius of Loyola humbly refers to himself as the pilgrim. Ironically, it is a group of pilgrims in Herman Hesse s The Journey to The East that inspires Robert Greenleaf s understanding of the servant as leader. In the late 16th century, Ignatius witnessed and was a product of the turbulent European Reformation the reason infusion of the Renaissance, and the expansive globalization of the Age of Exploration. Greenleaf, an executive for AT&T throughout the mid-twentieth century, witnessed the American countercultural movement of the nineteen sixties and the institutionalization of the American workplace. My father, Ted Potter, is supposedly retired. He has had a long, interesting, and varied career, first as a teacher, then as a real estate agent, broker, appraiser, and consultant. The emergence of the concept of servant-leadership initiated a new era of moral emphasis in the field of leadership, which was and still is dominated by self-serving models of leadership. In recent decades, the internet has become our predominant public space and yet the role of art in this space remains largely unthought. This paper argues that graphic art, and in particular digital graphic art, has great power to shape and transform our thinking and experience. But with that power comes an enormous political and ethical responsibility, a responsibility too often ignored by programmers and computer scientists. This paper uses the work of Denis Schmidt and Jacques Taminiaux as important resources for developing a Heideggerian response to this lack.

The Leadership Philosophy Of Mary Parker Follett (1868-1933), Judy I. Caldwell, Carolyn Crippen

The current study used qualitative historical analysis methodology to investigate systematically whether there was evidence of servant leadership competencies in Mary Parker Follett s work and life. Although Follett conducted her work approximately 100 years ago, many of her ideas, such as win-win, power-over versus power-with, and conflict resolution, would be considered leading edge today. In fact, Warren Bennis (2003) argued that, Just about everything written today about leadership and organizations comes from Mary Parker Follett s writings and lectures (p. 178) and Peter Drucker (2003) referred to her as the prophet of management (p. 9).

Funeral directors have labeled the typical American society a death-denying culture. For example, parents may try to shield children from the death event because of previous occurrences with death and the funeral home (Mahon, 2009). Unfortunately, by protecting others, the death-denying culture is perpetuated (Mahon, 2009). Therefore, it is no surprise that research on funeral directors, and funeral homes, may be underdeveloped.
