Ten Cedarville University nursing students reached troubled teenage girls this fall through a new ministry at Eastway’s The Ranch of Opportunity in Fayette County. Students invited the girls to hang out, play games, pray and hear testimonies each Sunday afternoon. The ministry will continue next semester as well.

Ouachita Baptist University’s Hickingbotham School of Business hosted its annual Business Plan Competition on Dec. 6. Chandler Blake, a senior finance and business administration major from Frisco, Texas, and Chris Clark, a senior finance and business administration major from Arkadelphia, Ark., placed first in the competition with their business, WinterTerm.com, and received a $4,000 cash prize. Blake and Clark were advised by Bryan McKinney, dean of the Hickingbotham School of Business.

Past research in memory studies has indicated that there are social factors that influence who are more or less likely to recall certain events as important. Past research emphasizes age as one of the most important variables; however, when regarding memories of social movements, additional demographic factors such as gender, race, region, and education may have potential impacts. More so, past research has not studied the importance of these factors over time.
