One-third of patients with chronic consequences from traumatic brain injury (TBI) are reported to receive inadequate care for their ongoing functional, cognitive decline, and advanced pathophysiology. The quality-of-life (QOL) for older adults living with TBI may be reduced due to unequal access to resources and a lack of coordinated, holistic treatment plans. AbstractPolitical oppression has been associated with mental health issues in refugee populations. The goal of this research was to measure the correlational relationship between political oppression, levels of depressive and trauma symptoms, and resilience as a mediating variable among Hongkongers. Three models of resilience formed the theoretical framework for this study. The mediating model was applied to determine if resilience mediated the relationship between political oppression and levels of depressive and trauma symptoms. The purpose of this study was to explore the experiences of male African American ex-offenders regarding homelessness and the search for housing after release from incarceration. The client agency’s special assignment promotions do not have transparent recruitment processes, resulting in artificial barriers within the noncompetitive ranks. The purpose of this professional administrative study was to explore the limitations associated with artificial barriers to the noncompetitive opportunities within fire departments and whether the removal of the barriers would add to job satisfaction. Data were collected from interviews with ten firefighters ranging from captains to chiefs in competitive and noncompetitive positions within the client agency. Student-to-teacher bullying occurs in higher education, including community colleges. The purpose of this quantitative cross-sectional study was to determine whether community college instructors’ self-reported experiences of student incivility/bullying, aggression, and unwanted sexual attention varied based on their gender and ethnicity while controlling for age. The purpose of this qualitative phenomenological study was to explore the lived postdeployment experiences of U.S. women veterans with posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and their perception of the impact their diagnosis had on their immediate families. The theoretical framework was Heider’s causal attribution theory.
