Research Output Of Indian Women Scientists In The Field Of Physics And Astronomy: A Scientometrics Study, Bebi Dabas, Shailendra Kumar

The research output of the women scientists of the selected Indian research institutes in the field of physics and astronomy is analyzed for a period of 2011 to 2015. It is observed that the strength of women scientists (12.35 %) are less in compare to men scientists (87.65%), as only 73 women scientists out of total 583 staff. These women scientists have published total number of 713 research articles, and the current study reveals the contribution of each scientist individually. Present Study analysis 201 publications (1972-2008) of Nobel laureate Jeffrey C Hall, an American eminent scientist in geneticist. His publications received 18,896 citations and first paper was reported in Scopus in 1972, subsequently, he published 200 research papers in various journals. The collaboration coefficient of scientist is 0.89 and forty-three (43) are two authored publications, 22 are single authored, scientist has authored highest publication in decade III (1990-1999) with 81(40.30%) publications. This study aims to investigate the relationship between these two variables and the differences that can be drawn in the context of undergraduate students at International Islamic University of Malaysia (IIUM). Three types of adjustments namely; (academic adjustment, social adjustment, and personal-emotional adjustment) were measured by SACQ. The study was carried out to survey NCE students’ perceptions on use of library course as an aid to their use of library resources in Colleges of Education in South-West Nigeria. The descriptive survey design was employed and four research questions guided the study. From a population of 60,481 students, a sample of 1,210 was drawn using the proportionate stratified sampling technique. In this paper, we explore the socio-economic effects of internet use at the community information centres (CICs) on livelihoods in three regions of Ghana. Sustainable livelihood framework was used as a lens to understand the phenomena being studied. Primary and secondary data collection methods were used. Three CICs in three regions were purposively selected and qualitative research method was adopted for the study. The data were analysed using Nvivo. This study examines the relationships among individual beliefs about intimate partner abuse (IPA), attitudes about IPA reporting, social cohesion, and the intention of intervening in neighborhood IPA. Data for this study come from a larger cross‐sectional, community‐based study in which participants (N = 1,626) were surveyed face to face using stratified random sampling in targeted communities in a Mountain West state (i.e., drop‐off, pick‐up method) and online using social media outreach in targeted communities. The purpose of this arts-based and Indigenous research study was to explore how Native Americans understand ‘place-based imagery’ through an Indigenous art making and storytelling experience to illuminate perspectives and experiences of a ‘sense of place’. Storywork, an Indigenous research method directed the culturally grounded research project. The Native American moccasin was the symbolic cultural catalyst used to create a multimedia art piece to express and reflect traditional cultural knowledge rooted within this symbol. However, prior research has not been designed and analysed in a way that fully aligns with the processes described by the underlying theoretical framework (i.e., the effort-recovery model). During spring and fall seasons, Neotropical migratory passerines travel nocturnally across the Western Hemisphere between their wintering and breeding grounds, often encountering man-made threats. One hazard that has gained considerable publicity in recent decades is the communication tower. Forensic anthropologists increasingly use chemical isotope analysis in the investigation of unidentified human remains, as biochemical georeferencing continually improves with the development of modern reference data of known origins. Isotope variations in trace elements such as strontium (Sr) and lead (Pb) in human teeth are some of the most useful indicators of past domicile in archaeological research and thus have high potential for modern, forensic applications. In this study, high-precision lead isotope analysis was conducted on 63 modern human teeth, which were previously analyzed for strontium isotopes. This study will explore the connection between the civility of internet comments and their popularity- through the example of two YouTube videos. By using a combination of manual review and computer analysis, to help readers discover if video popularity has a negative effect on comment civility. Findings also examined correlations between factors that indicate civility, while also including examples of notable and intriguing comments found during this study.
