There are many potential uses of understanding how the population might change into the future.Population projections help us to plan and prepare for likely demographic changes. Using the current population structure and applying birth, death, and net migration rates and how they change for various ages provides a glimpse of the changes and shifts that are likely to occur as well as the timing of such changes.

A growing body of research continuesto demonstrate the effectiveness ofinterteaching in the college classroom.However, to date, no studies have beenpublished on the use of interteaching inrehabilitation education. The purpose ofthe present study was to systematicallyreplicate previous research by comparinginterteaching to traditional classroom lecturein two sections of an undergraduate medicalaspects of disability course. Findingsindicate students performed better on postdiscussionquizzes following the interetachingcondition. Social validity findings alsoindicate the majority of students preferredinterteaching and reported learning morewhen interteaching was in effect. Theimplications of these results are discussedalong with a summary of future directions inthis line of research.

This review provides a historical overview of behavioral teaching methods that have demonstrated efficacy across age groups, educational levels, and disciplines. In particular, we focus on a recent behavioral teaching method known as interteaching to highlight its effectiveness as a user-friendly alternative to the traditional classroom lecture. Applications of prior behavioral teaching methods will be briefly highlighted, followed by a more thorough overview of the empirical data to date supporting interteaching as an effective behavioral teaching method to increase academic engagement, learning, and satisfaction in the classroom. This study approaches the material assemblage of Coalwood, a cordwood camp that operated from 1900-1912 in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, with a dialectal method and a theory of internal relations in order to understand how daily life was produced and reproduced. Common sense notions often see home and work as separate entities that only relate to one another externally. My archaeological and historical research abstracts domestic labor as a set of social relations that are dialectically and internally connected to the processes of capital accumulation. Unemployment insurance is designed to help workers smooth consumption in the event of a negative employment shock. These benefits are traditionally funded and administrated by the individual states and territories of the United States. The depth and severity of the “Great Recession” that started in December of 2007 and ended in June of 2009 was such that, Congress was compelled on multiple occasions to extend those benefits. Legislation during this period extended the duration of unemployment benefits to the longest period in history, as unemployed individuals in many states could receive up to 99 weeks of unemployment compensation. Nonproliferation: Rapid Retreat From The Gold Standard Negatively Impacts Future Nuclear Negotiations, Evan Tyler Beese

In 2009, the United States and the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.) concluded a nuclear cooperation agreement which contained a commitment on the part of the U.A.E. not to enrich uranium through its own domestic programs. Dubbed the "Gold Standard” of nuclear nonproliferation by the Obama administration, such an accomplishment has not been repeated in nuclear agreements between 2009 and 2015. This paper examines American nuclear cooperation negotiations following the establishment of the "Gold Standard,” and argues that the rapid reversal of American negotiating policy toward enrichment and reprocessing technologies will hinder U.S. nonproliferation goals going forward.

The purpose of this study is threefold: 1. Examine the use of propaganda by the Islamic State in Iraq and al Sham (ISIS) and how its propaganda enables ISIS to achieve its objectives; 2. Examine the United States Government (USG) response; 3. Evaluate the effectiveness of the USG response and how it can be improved. The goal of ISIS is to overturn the Middle East, attack westerners in the region and in the West, and create one all-encompassing Islamic State. Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs) have increasingly been recognized as influential players in world politics and international development. Despite limited financial resources and having to rely on volunteers who often lack formal training, NGOs’ advocacy work has often been highly effective. Since the beginning of the 1990s, it has resulted in both the formulation of new policies and the cancellation or modification of existing ones.

The biocultural examination of the Archaic population recovered at Oak View Landing (40DR1) investigates the lifeways and adaptations of prehistoric people as they reflect sociopolitical and subsistence strategies.

A comprehensive bioarchaeological analysis was conducted on the adult individuals (18 males, 16 females, 16 of indeterminate sex) excavated from a multiple occupation site located along the Tennessee River in Decatur County, Tennessee. Skeletal indicators used to understand biocultural phenomena were assessed macroscopically on cranial and postcranial elements. Furthermore, mortuary data, for adults and subadults, were used to determine any patterns of preferential treatment at death.

The paper showed that Nigeria's monetary survey is a useful tool in the analysis of monetary development and its linkages with key sectors of the economy. It conveys a useful insight on the evolution of the payment system and money holding behavior. Findings indicated that Nigeria's broad money aggregate was largely determined by external factor, pre-2007 global financial crisis, while domestic factors had significant implications for monetary management post-2007.

The management of wintering waterfowl in North America requires flexibility because of constantly changing landscapes and conditions. Many mallards use the lower Mississippi Alluvial Valley (MAV) for wintering habitat, making this an area of emphasis for improving management strategies. In this study, I used mallard observation data from 2009-2014 aerial surveys collected in the Arkansas portion of the lower MAV to explain the abundance and distribution and of mallards. Using spatial hierarchical models and breaking covariate data to 2x2 km grid cells, I analyzed how covariates relate to the changes of abundance and distributions within and among surveys. Participants included three preschool-age children in center-based classrooms (Head Start) in a southeastern school district. Functional assessment data were used to inform treatment procedures, which were examined with an alternating treatments design. The current study examined the immediate effects of two types of failure during operant-conditioning based training sessions in 11 bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) at the U.S. Navy Marine Mammal Program in San Diego, CA. While learning a multi-faceted behavior not commonly found in nature, such as beaching, animals are likely to perform approximations of the behavior that are not successful and do not result in reinforcement. The study of canine cognition can be useful in understanding the ontology and selective pressures that affect the development of cognitive abilities. Dogs have undergone intensive artificial selection yielding distinctive breeds which differ both phenotypically and behaviorally. Breed based cognitive differences have not been found but some studies suggest there may be differences in broader categories such as working disposition and sex.
