This study investigates rural women’s use of indigenous knowledge in Nigeria, with particular reference to the Isoko ethnic nationality of Delta State. The survey research design was adopted for the study. A questionnaire was designed to collect data from women located in ten rural communities of Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State that constitute the sample size for this study. Analyses were carried out using frequencies and percentage distributions. A literature review of user preferences, research habits and needs, and citation studies are used to argue that deaccession of print titles in the humanities and social sciences in academic libraries should occur in a conservative fashion as libraries transition to greater digital holdings. The issue of retention of translations is given special emphasis. The centrality of engaged research for undergraduate education makes the retention, at present, of both a rich print and digital collection necessary as the distinction between a collection geared toward faculty research and one for undergraduate research becomes less important.

The study reports an experiment that examines the availability of online reference services in libraries in Nigeria. 500 questionnaires were randomly distributed among Nigerian Library Association(NLA) conference attendees. The respondents were drawn from different types of libraries. A total of 311 questionnaires were usable, resulting in a 62 percent response rate. Data’s were analyzed using percentage cross tabulation. This article reports a survey on the students’ perception of new security measures in Nnamdi Azikiwe Library, University of Nigeria Nsukka. Data were collected by using a questionnaire and follow up interview with students of the institution. The response rate was 70%. Result showed that the majority of the respondents (213(51%) are undergraduates, the majority of the respondents are in year 2, 141 (33%), majority of the students used the library to a large extent for space or table to study, 168 (40%). This study aims to investigate the extent of the application of the marketing orientation concept in state and private university libraries in Jordan from the point of view of their managers and heads of department.

The study sample consisted of 155 library managers and heads of department, of which 85 (54.8%) responded. Thirty one (36.5%) of the respondents were from state university libraries and 54 (63.5%) were from private university libraries.

Integration of conservation partnerships across geographic, biological, and administrative boundaries is increasingly relevant because drivers of change, such as climate shifts, transcend these boundaries. We explored successes and challenges of established conservation programs that span multiple watersheds and consider both social and ecological concerns. We asked representatives from a diverse set of 11 broadextent conservation partnerships in 29 countries 17 questions that pertained to launching and maintaining partnerships for broad-extent conservation, specifying ultimate management objectives, and implementation and learning. The purpose of this study was to investigate the following: (i) associations among children’s prior contact with people with disabilities and the three dimensions of children’s attitudes towards people with disabilities: children’s understanding of and their feelings about people with disabilities and their behavioral intentions to make inclusion decisions; (ii) the relation between children’s behavioral intentions to make inclusion decisions and the demands of activity contexts and the types of disabilities; and (iii) the association between parents’ attitudes and children’s attitudes. This article presents the results of an analysis of reported interlocutors in Spanish in a group of heritage speakers (HS), in three communities of the US Midwest. Participants were college-aged bilinguals developing their own personal and professional networks outside the direct influence of their parents. Responses are compared with those from two control groups: college-aged native speakers (NS) and college-aged second-language learners (L2). Seventy-seven per cent of HS reported speaking primarily in Spanish with 4–5 interlocutors on the week of the study. HS and NS reported more interactions in Spanish with older relatives, and more interactions with peers outside their …
