A Study Of Shame In Anorexia Nervosa, Jessica L. Conwell
A Study Of Shame In Anorexia Nervosa, Jessica L. Conwell
Doctor of Psychology (PsyD)
Anorexia Nervosa (AN) is an eating disorder that has been documented as far back as 1689 and is now recognized as the mental health issue with the highest mortality rate. Many research projects have attempted to pinpoint the emotional factors that drive this disorder. Shame is an emotion that has just begun to be recognized for its impact on psychopathology. Intuitively, it seems reasonable to suggest that shame could play an important role in AN, a disorder that is commonly associated with emotional shutdown and restriction. Currently, there is no research that addresses the potential impact of shame on the …

The Anchor, Volume 117.18: February 18, 2004, Hope College
The Anchor: 2004
The Anchor began in 1887 and was first issued weekly in 1914. Covering national and campus news alike, Hope College’s student-run newspaper has grown over the years to encompass over two-dozen editors, reporters, and staff. For much of The Anchor's history, the latest issue was distributed across campus each Wednesday throughout the academic school year (with few exceptions). In recent years The Anchor moved to monthly print issues and a more frequently updated website. The Anchor is now published in print twice per academic semester. Occasionally, the volume and/or issue numbering is irregular.

The Case For Change : A Review Of Contemporary Research On Indigenous Education Outcomes, Suzanne Mellor, Matthew Corrigan
The Case For Change : A Review Of Contemporary Research On Indigenous Education Outcomes, Suzanne Mellor, Matthew Corrigan
Australian Education Review
AER 47 examines the research evidence underpinning current government policy developed over the last two decades in an attempt to improve the educational outcomes of indigenous students. It reviews and analyses existing educational research into the precursors and concomitant factors that contribute to educational achievement for students generally and for indigenous students in particular. It argues that current policy is insufficiently underpinned by substantive research, and that changes should be made, both to research methodology and to policy content.
