Neutrosophy (1995) is a new branch of philosophy that studies triads of the form (, , ), where is an entity (i.e., element, concept, idea, theory, logical proposition, etc.), is the opposite of , while is the neutral (or indeterminate) between them, i.e., neither nor [1]. Based on neutrosophy, the neutrosophic triplets were founded; they have a similar form: (x, neut(x), anti(x), that satisfy some axioms, for each element x in a given set [2–4]. This book contains the successful invited submissions [5–56] to a special issue of Symmetry, reporting on state-of-the-art and recent advancements of neutrosophic triplets, neutrosophic …

Hough transform (HT) is a useful tool for both pattern recognition and image processing communities. In the view of pattern recognition, it can extract unique features for description of various shapes, such as lines, circles, ellipses, and etc. In the view of image processing, a dozen of applications can be handled with HT, such as lane detection for autonomous cars, blood cell detection in microscope images, and so on. As HT is a straight forward shape detector in a given image, its shape detection ability is low in noisy images. To alleviate its weakness on noisy images and improve its …

Efficiently Representing The Integer Factorization Problem Using Binary Decision Diagrams, David Skidmore
All Graduate Plan B and other Reports, Spring 1920 to Spring 2023
Let p be a prime positive integer and let α be a positive integer greater than 1. A method is given to reduce the problem of finding a nontrivial factorization of α to the problem of finding a solution to a system of modulo p polynomial congruences where each variable in the system is constrained to the set {0,...,p − 1}. In the case that p = 2 it is shown that each polynomial in the system can be represented by an ordered binary decision diagram with size less than 20.25log2(α)3 + 16.5log2(α)2 + …

In this paper, we develop a new approach to deal with neutrosphic shortest path problem in a network in which each edge weight (or length) is represented as triangular fuzzy neutrosophic number. The proposed algorithm also gives the shortest path length from source node to destination node using ranking function. Finally, an illustrative example is also included to demonstrate our proposed approach.

This paper describes the importance of Neutrosophy Theory in order to find a method that could solve the uncertainties arising on discursive analysis. The aim of this pilot study is to find a procedure to diminish the uncertainties from public discourse induced, especially, by humans (politicians, journalists, etc.). We consider that Neutrosophy Theory is a sentiment analysis specific case regarding processing of the three states: positive, negative, and neutral. The study is intended to identify a method to answer to uncertainties solving in order to support politician's staff, NLP specialists, artificial intelligence researchers and generally the electors.

In this research paper, the graph of the bipolar single-valued neutrosophic set model (BSVNS) is proposed. The graphs of single valued neutrosophic set models is generalized by this graph. For the BSVNS model, several results have been proved on complete and isolated graphs. Adding, an important and suitable condition for the graphs of the BSVNS model to become an isolated graph of the BSVNS model has been demonstrated.

The Evolution Of Cryptology, Gwendolyn Rae Souza
The Evolution Of Cryptology, Gwendolyn Rae Souza
Electronic Theses, Projects, and Dissertations
We live in an age when our most private information is becoming exceedingly difficult to keep private. Cryptology allows for the creation of encryptive barriers that protect this information. Though the information is protected, it is not entirely inaccessible. A recipient may be able to access the information by decoding the message. This possible threat has encouraged cryptologists to evolve and complicate their encrypting methods so that future information can remain safe and become more difficult to decode. There are various methods of encryption that demonstrate how cryptology continues to evolve through time. These methods revolve around different areas of …
Drawing Numbers And Listening To Patterns, Loren Zo Haynes
Drawing Numbers And Listening To Patterns, Loren Zo Haynes
Honors College Theses
The triangular numbers is a series of number that add the natural numbers. Parabolic shapes emerge when this series is placed on a lattice, or imposed with a limited number of columns that causes the sequence to continue on the next row when it has reached the kth column. We examine these patterns and construct proofs that explain their behavior. We build off of this to see what happens to the patterns when there is not a limited number of columns, and we formulate the graphs as musical patterns on a staff, using each column as a line or space …

In this book authors for the first time give several types of problems on MOD structures happens to be an interesting field of study as it makes the whole 4 quadrant plane into a single quadrant plane and the infinite line into a half closed open interval. So study in this direction will certainly yield several interesting results. The law of distributivity is not true. Further the MOD function in general do not obey all the laws of integration or differentiation. Likewise MOD polynomials in general do not satisfy the basic properties of polynomials like its roots etc. Thus over …

The single valued neutrosophic graph is a new version of graph theory presented recently as a generalization of fuzzy graph and intuitionistic fuzzy graph. The single valued neutrosophic graph (SVN-graph) is used when the relation between nodes (or vertices) in problems are indeterminate. In this paper, we examine the properties of various types of degrees, order and size of single valued neutrosophic graphs and a new definition for regular single valued neutrosophic graph is given.

In this book authors for the first time define a special type of fixed points using MOD rectangular matrices as operators. In this case the special fixed points or limit cycles are pairs which is arrived after a finite number of iterations. Such study is both new and innovative for it can find lots of applications in mathematical modeling. Since all these Zn or I nZ or 〈Zn ∪ g〉 or 〈Zn ∪ g〉I or C(Zn) or CI(Zn) are all of finite order we are sure to arrive at a MOD fixed point pair or a MOD limit cycle pair …

The selection of shortest path problem is one the classic problems in graph theory. In literature, many algorithms have been developed to provide a solution for shortest path problem in a network. One of common algorithms in solving shortest path problem is Dijkstra’s algorithm. In this paper, Dijkstra’s algorithm has been redesigned to handle the case in which most of parameters of a network are uncertain and given in terms of neutrosophic numbers. Finally, a numerical example is given to explain the proposed algorithm.

With the large scale proliferation of networked devices ranging from medical implants like pacemakers and insulin pumps, to corporate information assets, secure authentication, data integrity and confidentiality have become some of the central goals for cybersecurity. Cryptographic hash functions have many applications in information security and are commonly used to verify data authenticity. Our research focuses on the study of the properties that dictate the security of a cryptographic hash functions that use Even-Mansour type of ciphers in their underlying structure. In particular, we investigate the algebraic design requirements of the Grøstl hash function and its generalizations. Grøstl is an …

Unique Prime Factorization Of Ideals In The Ring Of Algebraic Integers Of An Imaginary Quadratic Number Field, Nolberto Rezola
Electronic Theses, Projects, and Dissertations
The ring of integers is a very interesting ring, it has the amazing property that each of its elements may be expressed uniquely, up to order, as a product of prime elements. Unfortunately, not every ring possesses this property for its elements. The work of mathematicians like Kummer and Dedekind lead to the study of a special type of ring, which we now call a Dedekind domain, where even though unique prime factorization of elements may fail, the ideals of a Dedekind domain still enjoy the property of unique prime factorization into a product of prime ideals, up to order …

In this book for the first time authors study mod planes using modulo intervals [0, m); 2 ≤ m ≤ ∞. These planes unlike the real plane have only one quadrant so the study is carried out in a compact space but infinite in dimension. We have given seven mod planes viz real mod planes (mod real plane) finite complex mod plane, neutrosophic mod plane, fuzzy mod plane, (or mod fuzzy plane), mod dual number plane, mod special dual like number plane and mod special quasi dual number plane. These mod planes unlike real plane or complex plane or neutrosophic …

In this book authors study the properties of finite real quaternion ring which was introduced in [2000]. Here a complete study of these finite quaternion rings are made. Also polynomial quaternion rings are defined, they happen to behave in a very different way. In the first place the fundamental theorem of algebra, “a nth degree polynomial has n and only n roots”, n is untrue in case of polynomial in polynomial quaternion rings in general. Further the very concept of derivative and integrals of these polynomials are untrue. Finally interval pseudo quaternion rings also behave in an erratic way. Not …

We have constructed a class of natural neutrosophic numbers m 0I , m xI , m yI , m zI where m 0I × m 0I = m 0I , m xI × m xI = m xI and m yI × m yI = m yI and m yI × m xI = m 0I and m zI × m zI = m 0I . In this book authors for the first time elaborately study the notion of MOD vector spaces and MOD pseudo linear algebras. This study is new, innovative and leaves several open conjectures. In the first place as distributive law is not true we can define only MOD pseudo linear algebras. Secondly most of the classical theorems true in case of linear algebras are not true in case of MOD pseudo linear algebras. Finding even eigen values and eigen vectors happens to be a challenging problem. Further the notion of multidimensional MOD pseudo linear algebras are defined using the notion of MOD …
