Toward An Interoperable And Scalable Iot-Driven Smart City Solution Using Blockchain, Nada Abdulaziz A Alasbali
Toward An Interoperable And Scalable Iot-Driven Smart City Solution Using Blockchain, Nada Abdulaziz A Alasbali
Student Works (2020-2029)
A smart city is primarily an urban region that makes effective use of contemporary technology to manage its resources, assets, and services. Internet of Things (IoT) devices and sensors are installed throughout the smart city in order to facilitate remote monitoring and data collection in relation to a variety of key infrastructures. The data is then utilised to plan the necessary maintenance tasks to ensure that citizens receive high-quality services. Even though IoT devices make it possible to collect data in real-time in a smart city, most sensors and IoT devices do not have a lot of storage space or …
A Theoretical Framework For The Adoption Of Cloud Computing In Hospital Information Systems, Shady Gomaa Abdulaziz
A Theoretical Framework For The Adoption Of Cloud Computing In Hospital Information Systems, Shady Gomaa Abdulaziz
Student Works (2020-2029)
Cloud Computing (CC) is becoming a favourable trend in managing digital data. However, there is a low CC adoption rate in Health-Care Institutions (HCIs) than in other industries due to many reasons like awareness, staff, and costs. This research aims to: (1) investigate the CC adoption in the Saudi Health-Care Institutions (SHCIs), (2) determine the factors that influence the CC adoption in selected SHCIs, (3) develop a theoretical framework for the deployment of CC adoption in selected HCIs based on factors determined earlier, and (4) validate a research framework for the adoption of CC in SHCIs. The purpose of this …
An Integrated Three-Flow Approach For Front-End Service Composition, Lim Mei Ting
An Integrated Three-Flow Approach For Front-End Service Composition, Lim Mei Ting
Student Works (2020-2029)
End-User Service Composition (EUSC) aims to enable end-user programmers who are not professional developers, develop applications by composing or aggregating existing web services. Despite the effort, studies have shown that end-user programmers are not able to deal with the technical complexities involved in EUSC. One way to deal with this issue is Front-End Service Composition (FESC), which allows end-user programmers to compose web services at the presentation layer of an application by configuring User Interface (UI) widgets that represent the back-end web services. However, apart from there not being enough studies on FESC, end-user programmers also experience a number of …
Enhancing A Cluster-Based Tdma Mac Protocol For Vehicle-To-Vehicle Communications, Abubakar Bello Tambawal
Enhancing A Cluster-Based Tdma Mac Protocol For Vehicle-To-Vehicle Communications, Abubakar Bello Tambawal
Student Works (2020-2029)
Vehicular Ad hoc Network technology (VANET) is one of the emerging and promising wireless technology, providing support for vehicles to communicate and share resources, (such as safety messages) through vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communications. Sequel to that the Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) MAC protocol using a cluster-based topology has been proposed by the research community. Most of the existing research works focused on the cluster head (CH) election with very few addressing other critical issues, including cluster formation, efficient time slot allocation, and cluster maintenance. These challenges result in an unstable cluster, which could affect the timely delivery of safety applications. …

The Ottoman Empire, the greatest and longest ruling Muslim empire in history, began to face enormous threats from the West even before the 17th century. In the beginning of the 17th century, the Ottomans were behind the West in the advancement of science and technology. Beginning from its defeat in Vienna in 1683, the Ottoman lost some of its provinces due to defeats in various battles. Realizing the widespread of western power, the Ottomans took steps to reinforce its power through several attempts, which include the transmission of science and technology from the West through the two main channels, which …
An Efficient Ddos Attack Detection Framework For Vehicular Communication, Kolandaisamy Raenu
An Efficient Ddos Attack Detection Framework For Vehicular Communication, Kolandaisamy Raenu
Student Works (2020-2029)
Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANETs) are rapidly gaining attention due to the diversity of services that they can potentially offer. VANET is a wireless network that allows vehicles to interconnect and communicate with other nearby vehicles and Road Side Units (RSUs). In VANET, each vehicle is considered as a node which is equipped with an On-Board Unit (OBU) and an Application Unit (AU). The nodes may connect and communicate with each other directly (i.e., Vehicle to Vehicle (V2V)) or through RSUs (i.e., Vehicle to Infrastructure (V2I)). This is primarily for alleviating an Intelligent Transport System (ITS) that aims to provide …
Application Development For Goods Management System Towards Waste Minimization Options, Wan Ahmad Nadzim
Application Development For Goods Management System Towards Waste Minimization Options, Wan Ahmad Nadzim
Student Works (2020-2029)
Waste is a global concern. Increasing waste generation levels are causing the increase of waste management costs. In fact, the greatest costs of waste are measured by its impacts to the environment, society and economy. Prevention is better than cure—since all wastes come from goods, thus the best way to manage wastes is to manage goods. An application model of goods management system has been developed using GIS (Geographic Information System) and app prototyping. The primary purpose of goods management is to maximize goods and minimize waste by promoting reduction and reuse. GIS was used to perform spatial analyses on …
