Identification And Visual Analysis Of Structure Characteristics Of Severe Storm, Jiayi Xu, Xuanxuan Huang
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: A technique of adaptively extracting the feature regions from radar storm data was proposed based on the meteorological radar theory and historical statistics. A logical analysis strategy was proposed to identify convective cores, searched full convective regions to extract isolated storm cells. The changing of reflectivity data and corresponding gradient were analyzed to classify four typical structures. In order to accurately show the extracted spatial structures of storm cell, a parallel rendering framework was constructed by improving the ray-casting algorithm. Experiment results show that the proposed technique can quickly and accurately identify and visualize the spatial structure of sever …

Improved Support Vector Pre-Extracting Algorithm In Speech Recognition Application, Hao Rui, Yanbo Niu, Xiu Lei
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: Support vector machine (SVM) training is difficult for large-scale data set of speech recognition. A new SVM pre-extracting algorithm was proposed. On the one hand, kernel Fuzzy C-Means clustering was separately performed on each class of original data set. All the cluster centers were as a representative set of each class. On the other hand, according to the geometric distribution of support vectors and combined with the classification strategy of one-versus-one for SVM multi-class classification algorithm, boundary samples were extracted as support vectors for SVM to training and prediction. The algorithm was applied to embedded speech recognition system. Experiments …

Trusted Scheme For Defending On-Off Attack Based On Beta Distribution, Weidong Fang, Zhidong Shi, Lianhai Shan, Fengrong Li, Xiuzhi Wang
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: Using encryption and authentication mechanisms can only prevent external attacks, but these mechanisms for internal attacks are invalid in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). On-off attack also belongs to internal attacks, which has more concealment and aggressive, due to its reputation value dynamic changing. By using difference value and trend analysis based on BETA distribution, an effective trust mechanism was proposed to defend On-off attack. Simulation shows that this scheme can defend On-off attack, and be easy to implement.

Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: A DC motor driven wheeled mobile robot path following control problem was considered, where the robot model was regarded as a cascade system consisting of the equation of the drive motor and the mobile robot kinematics equations. Taking the output speed of motor-driven equation as the input of the kinematic equations, identifying these time-varying parameters of the driven equation online, adding the values after identification to the controller, a feedback linearization path following control scheme was proposed. The scheme both investigates the dynamic characteristics of kinematics model and motor drive, so that the results better follow the actual cases …

Adjacent Bit Xor Operation Based Test Data Compression Method, Yifei Cheng, Wenfa Zhan
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: Data compression is a very effective method to reduce the test cost. An adjacent bit XOR operation based test data compression method was proposed based on bitwise XOR operation between itself and its previous bit, which turned continuous series, such as a series of all 0s and all 1s into series of all 0s, and reversal series, such as a series of 01 and 10 into series of all 1s by bitwise XOR operation between adjacent bits. On one hand, the two kinds of series, continuous series and reversal series, were both taken into account, which decreased the number …

A Class Of Prediction Based Adaptive Pid Controller, Yanjun Liu, Yawen Mao
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: The PID controller has been widely used in various industrial processes. However, for real practical control plants, their mechanisms, structures and operation conditions are different, and conventional tuning methods cannot always work in a desirable state. In order to improve the robustness and the stability of the control systems, advanced PID control algorithms have been attracted much attention. A prediction based adaptive control algorithm is proposed for CARIMA models, where the PID parameters can be tuned adaptively according to the parameters of the control plant. The key is minimizing a performance index which considers the quadratic predicted output, over …

A calculation method based on iterative simulations for those parameters under multiple flight conditions was introduced. Double layer neural networks were used to model the relationship between flight conditions and the capacity parameters, to realize the compressive storage and …

Group-Based Image Compositing In Heterogeneous Environments, Liu Ning, Dengming Zhu, Zhaoqi Wang, Wei Yi
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: Image compositing requires dense inter-node communications and could easily become the bottleneck of a parallel visualization system. Conventional image compositing algorithms assume the environment is homogeneous and take no heterogeneity into consideration. In a heterogeneous environment, this assumption is likely to cause unreasonable load distribution among the nodes. To address this problem, we present a group-based image compositing algorithm in heterogeneous environments. It is able to distribute the workloads among the nodes according to computing and networking characteristics of the heterogeneous environments. We conduct a comprehensive evaluation on the ns-3 network simulator. Experiment results shows that when the environment …
