Holiday Highway Traffic Flow Prediction Method Based On Deep Learning, Xiaofeng Ji, Yicheng Ge
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: Accurately predicting highway traffic holiday flow can provide important data for the emergency management of highway. The LSTM-SVR prediction model is established by using the theoretical framework of deep learning. The BP neural network is used to process the sample data, and the data features captured by LSTM are input into the SVR regression layer to realize the traffic flow prediction. Before and after the “Eleventh” Golden Week, the LSTM-SVR model was verified by using the traffic monitoring data of the intermodulation station in Lijiang City and the prediction results were compared with the others. It is found that …

Study On Evacuation Cellular Automaton Model Considering Avoidance Behavior, Yinghua Song, Zhang Yu, Feizhou Huo, Lü Wei, Yaping Ma
Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: To study the avoidance behavior in the evacuation process, a cellular automaton model considering avoidance behavior is established. The model divides the evacuees into avoiders and transferees, and reflects the avoidance behavior by changing the selected probability of evacuees. The impact of the avoidance behavior on the efficiency and evacuation process in different personnel ratios and different initial positions is analyzed. The results show that the avoidance behavior can optimize the evacuation sequence, improve the evacuation efficiency and reduce the risk of evacuation process. The evacuation time is significantly reduced when the probability of avoidance exceeds the thread value, …

Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: Aiming at the poor local optimization ability and easy premature convergence of the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm in evacuation simulation, a crowd evacuation model based on the improved PSO algorithm is proposed. On the basis of the original model, factors such as the forward driving force, exclusion driving force and panic degree of evacuees are introduced. According to the environmental factors and crowd movement, evacuees' direction is dynamically adjusted, and tends to the ideal exit under the optimal exit selection mechanism. The parametric simulation experiment of evacuation efficiency is carried out for the physical factors such as the …

A Gestalt-guided optimization method is designed to calculate the final spatiotemporal saliency map. Experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively detect the spatiotemporal saliency of infrared …

Translating Counting Problems Into Computable Language Expressions, Zach Prescott
Translating Counting Problems Into Computable Language Expressions, Zach Prescott
Theses
The realm of automated problem solving is a relatively new field, even in the context of natural language processing. One area where this is often demonstrated is that of creating a program that can solve word problems. The program must understand the problem, perform some processing, and then convey this information to a user in a way that is accessible and understandable. There has been quite a lot of progress in this area with simpler problems. However, when it comes to understanding problems that involve a level of NLP, the results are not conclusive. In this paper, we would like …
Action Recognition Using The Motion Taxonomy, Maxat Alibayev
Action Recognition Using The Motion Taxonomy, Maxat Alibayev
USF Tampa Graduate Theses and Dissertations
In the last years, modern action recognition frameworks with deep architectures have achieved impressive results on the large-scale activity datasets. All state-of-the-art models share one common attribute: two-stream architectures. One deep model takes RGB frames, while the other model is fed with pre-computed optical flow vectors. The outputs of both models are combined to be used as a final probability distribution for the action classes. When comparing the results of individual models with the fused model, it is common to see that that latter method is more superior. Researchers explain that phenomena with the fact that optical flow vectors serve …

Cup-Net: Compressed Ultrafast Photography Using Convolutional Neural Networks, Matthew Parker
Cup-Net: Compressed Ultrafast Photography Using Convolutional Neural Networks, Matthew Parker
ENGS 88 Honors Thesis (AB Students)
Compressed ultrafast photography (CUP) is a cutting-edge imaging technique that uses a variation of the traditional streak camera to obtain video at 100 billion frames per second with a single exposure. In order to achieve this level of temporal detail, CUP leverages compressed sensing (CS). Compressed sensing theory states that a compressed representation of an image can be directly acquired using a non-adaptive measurement matrix so long as the encoding matrix follows certain properties such as restrictive isometry and incoherence. This compressed representation of the original scene can later be reconstructed back into the original form. CUP applies CS by …

Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: Based on Zwart-Gerber-Belamri cavitation model, a numerical calculation method of cavitating flow of water-exit missile with complex configuration was proposed. The influence of velocity of water-exit and angle of attack to cavitation of parts of missile was analyzed. The simulation results showed that in the beginning of water-exit course, body-attached bubble quickly grew due to reduction of cavitation number. After that, the effect of bubble break-off and oscillation became more obvious. In water-exit course of zero angle of attack, the length and thickness of bubble of shoulder increased linearly with velocity. The ability of the protrusion to induce …
