One technique to bypass these restrictions is to split up large jobs into smaller tasks that can then be queued and processed task by task. This is a fairly common need. The Information Technology (IT) governance of a large wastewater treatment plant was examined with respect to the COBIT framework. The COBIT Quickstart prescription was used as the basis for a phase I current state assessment throughout this examination. Assessment tests were administered to the CIO revealing a strong need for IT governance within this domain.
