Conceptual Model Builder, Chia-Yang Lin Jan 2004

Conceptual Model Builder, Chia-Yang Lin

Theses Digitization Project

Whenever one designs a new database system, an Entity-Relationship Diagram (ER diagram) is always needed to present the structure of this database. Using the graphically well-arranged ER Diagram helps you to easily understand the entities, attributes, domains, primary keys, foreign keys, constraints, and relationships inside a database. This data-modeling tool is an ideal choice for companies and developers.

Face Recognition: Study And Comparison Of Pca And Ebgm Algorithms, Sachin Katadound Jan 2004

Face Recognition: Study And Comparison Of Pca And Ebgm Algorithms, Sachin Katadound

Masters Theses & Specialist Projects

Face recognition is a complex and difficult process due to various factors such as variability of illumination, occlusion, face specific characteristics like hair, glasses, beard, etc., and other similar problems affecting computer vision problems. Using a system that offers robust and consistent results for face recognition, various applications such as identification for law enforcement, secure system access, computer human interaction, etc., can be automated successfully. Different methods exist to solve the face recognition problem. Principal component analysis, Independent component analysis, and linear discriminant analysis are few other statistical techniques that are commonly used in solving the face recognition problem. Genetic …

Interactive Dna Sequence And Structure Design For Dna Nanotechnology And Dna Computation, Mingjun Zhang, Chaman Sabharwal, Weimin Tao, Tzyh-Jong Tarn, Ning Xi, Guangyong Li

Computer Science Faculty Research & Creative Works

DNA sequence and structure design are very important for DNA nanotechnology and DNA computation. A computer aided design tool is needed for exploring DNA sequence and structure of interests before experimental synthesis, which is a very time and labor consuming process. In this paper, an interactive DNA sequence and structure design software tool called DNA shop is proposed and implemented.
