This article presents a novel lifelong integral reinforcement learning (LIRL)-based optimal trajectory tracking scheme using the multilayer (MNN) or deep neural network (Deep NN) for the uncertain nonlinear continuous-time (CT) affine systems subject to state constraints. A critic MNN, which approximates the value function, and a second NN identifier are together used to generate the optimal control policies. The weights of the critic MNN are tuned online using a novel singular value decomposition (SVD)-based method, which can be extended to MNN with the N-hidden layers. In this work, a leader-follower tracking and formation control strategy for mobile robots (MRs) with uncertain dynamics is proposed. This strategy utilizes a continual lifelong safe reinforcement learning (CLSRL) framework based on multilayer neural networks (MNNs). The proposed design employs actor-critic MNNs, incorporating a barrier function. This function is derived from the Bellman optimality principle. It addresses the state constraints throughout the control design process. A novel online continual lifelong learning (CLL) method is introduced for MR formation. While deep neural networks achieve remarkable visual perception capabilities for UAV position and orientation estimation, their resilience to different weather conditions still needs improvement. These models often suffer from catastrophic forgetting when adapted to new environments, losing previously acquired knowledge. Lifelong learning methods aim to balance learning flexibility and memory stability. In this paper, we present an image-based approach to estimate the relative altitude of a UAV using 2D images under varying weather conditions, including sunny, sunset, and foggy scenarios. Supervised learning approaches in NLP, exemplified by POS tagging, rely heavily on the presence of large amounts of annotated data. However, acquiring such data often requires significant amount of resources and incurs high costs. In this work, we explore zero-shot cross-lingual transfer learning to address data scarcity issues in Filipino POS tagging, particularly focusing on optimizing source language selection. Our zero-shot approach demonstrates superior performance compared to previous studies, with top-performing fine-tuned PLMs achieving F1 scores as high as 79.10%. It offers several key advantages, such as data privacy, security, efficiency, and scalability, by keeping data local and only exchanging model updates through the communication network. This review paper provides a comprehensive overview of federated learning, including its principles, strategies, applications, and tools along with opportunities, challenges, and future research directions. Accelerating cavities are an integral part of the continuous electron beam accelerator facility (CEBAF) at Jefferson Laboratory. When any of the over 400 cavities in CEBAF experiences a fault, it disrupts beam delivery to experimental user halls. In this study, we propose the use of a deep learning model to predict slowly developing cavity faults. By utilizing pre-fault signals, we train a long short-term memory-convolutional neural network binary classifier to distinguish between radio-frequency (RF) signals during normal operation and RF signals indicative of impending faults. Efficient management of healthcare traffic is crucial for ensuring timely access to medical services, particularly in emergency situations where delays can have severe consequences. This study presents a comparative analysis of three widely used machine learning models—Linear Regression, Decision Trees, and Random Forests—aimed at predicting healthcare-related traffic volumes. A large dataset from a metropolitan traffic system was used to train and evaluate the models based on key performance indicators, including Mean Squared Error (MSE), R² Score, and computational efficiency. Scientists often utilize personal laptops and workstations for initial research stages and turn to high-performance computing (HPC) supercomputers for compute-intensive tasks. However, seamless transitions between these environments are vital for enhancing productivity and accelerating research progress. Our paper presents the Cybershuttle Notebook Gateway, an open-source framework crafted to streamline this transition, optimize resource utilization, and reduce time-to-science for researchers. Leveraging JupyterLab, the framework extends kernel mechanics for seamless provisioning and connection to remote HPC cluster kernels. Large deep learning models are impressive, but they struggle when real-time data is not available. Few-shot class-incremental learning (FSCIL) poses a significant challenge for deep neural networks to learn new tasks from just a few labeled samples without forgetting the previously learned ones. This setup can easily leads to catastrophic forgetting and overfitting problems, severely affecting model performance.
