Pre-Oxidative Amperometric Glucose Biosensor Incorporated With Carbon Nanotube And Pbo2, Hong-Lan Qi, Cheng-Xiao Zhang

Journal of Electrochemistry

A pre-oxidative amperometric glucose biosensor incorporated with carbon nanotube, ferrocenemonocarboxylic acid and PbO2 was designed. The interferences coming from reduced substances, such as ascoribic acid and urine acid were eliminated by PbO2.The oxidative current is linear at the potential of +0.40 V(vs.SCE) to the concentration of glucose in the range from 0.50 to 20 mmol·L-1,and the detection limit of glucose is 0.1 mol L-1.The relative standard deviation is 3.3% for seven successive assays at 5.0 mmol·L-1glucose.This biosensors have been applied to determination of the glucose in serum with satisfying results.

Study On Reduction Process Of Electrolyic Manganese Dioxide In Situ By Ultraviolet-Visible Absorption Spectroscopy, Li-Cai Zhu, Zhong-Zhi Yuan, Wei-Shan Li

Journal of Electrochemistry

The concentrationsof soluble Mn(Ⅲ) species, during the reduction ofelectrolytic MnO2 (EMD) in alkaline solution, have been monitored in situ by UV-visible spectroscopy. The concentration of Mn(Ⅲ) ion in solution changes with discharge time. The first electron discharge process of EMD can be described by three different steps: 1) the reduction of Mn4+ ions on the surface of EMD particles and the structural defect regions within the EMD, 2) the reduction of Mn4+ ions in ramsdellite, 3)the reduction of Mn4+ ions in pyrolusite. During the second electron discharge of EMD, the soluble Mn(Ⅲ) is reduced to Mn(Ⅱ) , …

Treat carbon paper with 3% PTFE solution and dried in 340 ℃ for 40 minutes to enhance its intension, and level off the surface of the carbon paper with a mixture of XC-72 carbon black and PTFE solution. With those treated carbon paper as electrodes, recast Nafion thin film from 5% Nafion solution as humidity sensitive material, a solid polymer electrolyte humidity sensor was prepared on a thin PET film. Take the relative humidity data from several saturated salt solutions, the relationship between conductivity response and relative humidity was studied at different relative humidies .The results showed: when the polymer …

Adsorption And Oxidation Of Ethanol On Nm-Pt/Gc Electrode Ii. Eqcm And In-Situ Ftir Spectroscopic Studies In Acid Media, Guo-Liang Chen, Sheng-Pei Chen, Zhi-You Zhou, Chun-Hua Zhen, Shi-Gang Sun Feb 2001

Adsorption And Oxidation Of Ethanol On Nm-Pt/Gc Electrode Ii. Eqcm And In-Situ Ftir Spectroscopic Studies In Acid Media, Guo-Liang Chen, Sheng-Pei Chen, Zhi-You Zhou, Chun-Hua Zhen, Shi-Gang Sun

Journal of Electrochemistry

The adsorption and oxidation of ethanol on nm Pt/GC electrode in acid solutions containing 0.1 mol·L -1 H2SO4 +0.1 mol·L -1 CH3CH2OH was investigated by using cyclic voltammetry, EQCM and in situ FTIR spectroscopy. The experimental results demonstrated that the oxidation of CH3CH2OH is closely relaed to solution acidity and oxygen species on electrode surface; CH3CH2OH was oxidized on nm Pt/GC electrode in acidic media via a dual path reaction mechanism, i.e . CH3CH2OH may be oxidized into CO2 through …

Studies Of Adsorption And Oxidation Of Ethanol On Nm-Pt/Gc Electrode——I. Cyclic Voltammograms And In-Situ Ftir Spectroscopy In Alkaline Media, Guo-Lian Chen, Shi-Gang Sun, Sheng-Pei Chen, Zhi-You Zhou Nov 2000

Studies Of Adsorption And Oxidation Of Ethanol On Nm-Pt/Gc Electrode——I. Cyclic Voltammograms And In-Situ Ftir Spectroscopy In Alkaline Media, Guo-Lian Chen, Shi-Gang Sun, Sheng-Pei Chen, Zhi-You Zhou

Journal of Electrochemistry

The electro-oxidation of ethanol on nm-Pt/GC electrode in alkaline solutions containing 0.02 mol·L-1 NaOH+0.1 mol·L-1 CH3CH2OH was investigated by using cyclic voltammetry and in-situ FTIR spectroscopy. The experimental results demonstrated that the main product of ethanol oxidation is CH3COO-, only very small amount of CH 3CHO has been determined simultaneously. In contrast with the dual path reaction mechanism for the oxidation of ethanol in acid media, the oxidation of ethanol in alkaline media didn't pass through the dissociative adsorption, and no adsorbed species could be determined even using a …

The Ac-Impedance Analysis For Pluse Oxide Film Of Aluminium Alloy, Ai-Ling Du, Xi-Cheng Ma, He-Ming Zhang Aug 1999

The Ac-Impedance Analysis For Pluse Oxide Film Of Aluminium Alloy, Ai-Ling Du, Xi-Cheng Ma, He-Ming Zhang

Journal of Electrochemistry

Bode diagrams for aluminum PC (abbreviated from pulse current) oxide films were first obtained by AC-impedance measurements in a wide range of frequency. The experimental results show that different kinds of electrical equivalent circuits can be used for representing PC films and DC (abbreviated from direct current) oxide films separately, the main differences between them are their porous layers, the PC films are more even with little defects. Those are also verified by SEM and V-I characteristic curve measurements.

In Situ Ftir Spectroelectrochemical Study Of Palladium Hexacyanoferrate Thin Film Deposited On Glassy Carbon Electrode, Ai-Li Bo, Xiang-Qin Lin

Journal of Electrochemistry

The electrochemically deposited Palladium hexacyanoferrate thin film on Glassy Carbon electrode (PdHCF|GC) has been studied in HCl, KCl and NaCl solutions by in-situ external reflection FTIR spectroelectrochemical technique. It is found that the behavior of the electroactive PdHCF film can be understood in terms of two states: Pd2Fe(II)(CN)6 formed in the inner layer and (M+)2Fe(II)(CN)6 (M+: electrolyte cation) formed in the outer layer. The inner layer is oxidized at Em=0.87 V in 1 mol/L KCl, while for the outer layer Em=0.77 V(vs. Ag/AgCl). In 1 mol/L NaCl or HCl solutions, …

Direct Electro-Oxidation Synthesis Of D-Arabinose On Spectroscopic Graphite Electrode, Hei Wei, Huang Ying

Journal of Electrochemistry

D Arabinose synthesized by direct electro-oxidative decarboxylation of D gluconate on graphite electrode from aqueous solutions. The effects of D gluconate concentration, electrolysis potential, temperature and electrolyte composition on the current efficiency and product yield of electrosynthsis are discussed. The laboratory scale electrosynthesis was achieved with flow through cell. The optimum technology conditions for electrosynthesis were obtained with orthogonal design method. Both galvanostatic and potentionstatic conditions have been exploited, the later was found to be more effective.

In-Situ Raman Spectroscopic Study Of The Oxidation And Reduction Of Ag Electrode In Na2So4, Yan-Xia Chen, Kai-Qi Huang, Zhong-Qun Tian

Journal of Electrochemistry

In-situ Raman spectroscopy combined with cyclic voltammogram measurements was used to investigate formation of oxygen species at Ag electrode surfaces during the oxidation and reduction process in 0.1 mol/L Na2SO4 solution. The time dependent Raman spectra show that at potentials positive of 0.2 V, adsorption of oxygen atom occurs, while at the potentials positive of 0.4 V, some oxygen atoms migrate into subsurface of the Ag electrode and the other form strongly bound oxygen on the surface through chemical bond. At the same potentials, part of the silver atoms are oxidized and form Ag2SO4 …
