(R2167) Global Stability Of Seirs Model With Single Dose Vaccination In Varying Population, Govind Jha, Prabhat Mandal, Sarita Jha
Applications and Applied Mathematics: An International Journal (AAM)
Understanding the evolution of infectious diseases within a dynamic population is essential for formulating effective public health strategies. This work introduces an enhanced SEIRS epidemic model that incorporates demographic variation and a single-dose vaccination strategy, supporting that immunity can be reduced over time. The model reflects diseases in which individuals may return to the susceptible state after recovery. Extending prior reduced three-dimensional models, this study develops a complete four-dimensional SEIRS framework, thereby increasing the model’s applicability to real-world scenarios. The inclusion of the full system presents greater analytical challenges. To overcome this, we extend the second additive compound matrix and …

(R2108) Global Asymptotic Stability Analysis Of Discrete Time Population Model With Allee Effect Through Lyapunov Function, Govind Jha, Neeraj Kumar, Sarita Jha
Applications and Applied Mathematics: An International Journal (AAM)
This study explores the idea of stability analysis by using Lyapunov functions in discrete time population models; this work focuses on the nth generation. Further, this investigation aims to extend global stability concepts to discrete-time models and considers the influence of the Allee effect on population dynamics. Mathematical formulations and specific modelling approaches are utilized to investigate the behavior of the population system. The results reveal a larger range of stability in comparison to previous findings, emphasizing the effectiveness of the Lyapunov function approach. Specifically highlighted here are the extension of global stability concepts to the nth generation providing insights …

Growth Patterns Of Ethnic Groups In Bexar County With Dynamic Leslie Models, Judith Arriaza, Zhanbo Yang, Flor De María García-Wukovits
Applications and Applied Mathematics: An International Journal (AAM)
The purpose of this study is to modify the Leslie model with a dynamic matrix for better population projections in Bexar County, where UIW is located and the authors reside. A dynamic matrix was used to improve the static Leslie model used in the previous study since human population growth is dynamic and complex. The matrix was constructed with functions that modeled the birth rates and survival rates. This allowed the rates to change from year to year. The population projections using the dynamic matrix were compared to the real population data and the static matrix. The researcher concluded that …
