Graphical Event-Directed Scenario Behavioral Specifications For The Scenario-Based Engineering Process (Sep) Using A Domain Specific Software Architecture (Assa) Philosophy, Miao Xia

Computer Science and Engineering Theses - Archive

This thesis extends scenarios of a system into real-time event digraphs. A scenario is an event trace resulting from a particular thread of system execution. An event digraph is an event network. Multiple external stimuli result in a wave of execution in distributed and parallel architecture. A graph theoretic formal definition for event digraphs is developed with the finite sets of events and the scenario event order (SEO). A scenario language is developed from the event digraph. In modeling an event digraph, we introduce the frontier expansion mechanism which let the users and the developers go around the question if …

Synthesis Of N-Boc-3-Azabicyclo[3.3.0]Octan-7-One Via Reductive Pauson-Khand Cyclization And Subsequent Conversion To A Novel Diazatricyclic Ring System, Daniel Becker, Daniel L. Flynn Jun 1993

Synthesis Of N-Boc-3-Azabicyclo[3.3.0]Octan-7-One Via Reductive Pauson-Khand Cyclization And Subsequent Conversion To A Novel Diazatricyclic Ring System, Daniel Becker, Daniel L. Flynn

Chemistry: Faculty Publications and Other Works

An intramolecular reductive Pauson-Khand reaction of the hexacarbonyldicobalt complex of N-(tert-butyloxycarbonyl)allylpropargylamine under dry-state adsorption conditions directly afforded the saturated N-BOC-3-azabicyclo[3.3.0]octan-7-one when the reaction was performed under an inert atmosphere. This bicyclic ketone was converted in several steps to the novel octahydro-1-azeto[2′,3′:3,4]cyclopenta[1,2-C]pyrrole ring system as confirmed by single crystal X-ray analysis.

Studies Of The Solid-Phase Pauson-Khand Reaction Selective In-Situ Enone Reduction To 3-Azabicyclo[3.3.0]Oct-Anones, Daniel Becker, Daniel L. Flynn Mar 1993

Studies Of The Solid-Phase Pauson-Khand Reaction Selective In-Situ Enone Reduction To 3-Azabicyclo[3.3.0]Oct-Anones, Daniel Becker, Daniel L. Flynn

Chemistry: Faculty Publications and Other Works

The Smit-Caple DSAC Pauson-Khand cyclization of a series of N-protected allyl propargyl amines in the absence of oxygen gave rise to formation of the saturated azabicyclo[3.3.0]octanones in excellent yields. Standard cyclization in air gave mixtures of saturated and unsaturated ketones.

Revegetation Of Disturbed Semiarid Grassland In Canyonlands National Park, Susan B. Goldberg Jan 1993

Revegetation Of Disturbed Semiarid Grassland In Canyonlands National Park, Susan B. Goldberg

Canyonlands Research Bibliography

A grassland restoration project was conducted in Canyonlands National Park on an area recently disturbed due to construction. Two native grasses (Oryzopsis hymenoides and Stipa comata) were seeded with 18 different soil treatments. Stipa density and relative mycorrhizal colonization were measured. None of the soil treatments resulted in significantly greater Stipa density than the control treatment of seeding only plus water. There was very little correlation between Stipa density and mycorrhizal colonization based on the treatments (r2= 0.011 p = 0.05). Three treatments produced 3 to 5 times the VAN colonization as the control including spring cryptobiotic soil crusts, with …

Some Remarks On Reproducing Kernel Krein Spaces, Daniel Alpay Jan 1991

Some Remarks On Reproducing Kernel Krein Spaces, Daniel Alpay

Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science Faculty Articles and Research

The one-to-one correspondence between positive functions and reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces was extended by L. Schwartz to a (onto, but not one-to-one) correspondence between difference of positive functions and reproducing kernel Krein spaces. After discussing this result, we prove that matrix value function K(z,ω) symmetric and jointly analytic in z and ω in a neighborhood of the origin is the reproducing kernel of a reproducing kernel Krein space. We conclude with an example showing that such a function can be the reproducing kernel of two different Krein spaces.
