A 2-year-old intact female Scottish fold cat was presented to the Prasu-Arthorn Animal Hospital, Faculty of Veterinary Science, Mahidol University, for a right nephrectomy because a renal mass was suspected. During the physical examination, the animal had an intra-abdominal mass with abdominal discomfort. No history of vomiting and diarrhea was reported. The blood chemistry and hematology revealed a markedly low albumin/globulin ratio and mild anemia with normal leukogram. The aim of this study was to investigate the acaricidal efficacy, tolerability of the target species and residue levels of a thymol-containing gelatin-based hydrogel developed as a controlled release system for varroosis control. The study was carried out on naturally infested honey bee colonies and compared with those of the negative control and positive control groups. The acaricidal efficacy (%) of the negative control, positive control and hydrogel was 21.93 ± 2.87, 81.09 ± 2.30 and 70.32 ± 2.05, respectively. This study aims at examining the impact of rumen-protected methionine (Met) and lysine (Lys) supplementation on production and reproductive parameters in a sample of 100 dairy cows, comprising 32 primiparous and 68 multiparous cows with an average of 5.24±2.31 years. The aim of this research was to create various microsatellite paternity test panels that are efficient, cost-effective, simple, and accessible for paternity assessments within the Eşme sheep breed in Western Anatolia. The study included 2432 animals from sixteen farms, consisting of 147 rams and 2285 lambs. 17 microsatellite markers were utilized in the study to develop these test panels, prioritizing markers with high polymorphic information content (PIC) and probability of exclusion (PE) values. A 9-year-old spayed female Chihuahua presented with a 2-month history of progressive corneal edema in the left eye. Slit lamp biomicroscopy showed moderate corneal edema, instability of the axial corneal epithelial surface, and an anterior cortical opacity of the lens. Based on these results, a diagnosis of canine endothelial degeneration was made with the incidental finding of an incipient cataract in the left eye. Keratoleptynsis successfully managed the corneal edema for 28 months after surgery without corneal ulceration. Canine atopic dermatitis (CAD) is a genetically predisposed inflammatory skin disease with a global distribution, yet it is incurable. A key clinical sign of CAD is pruritus. Oclacitinib has proven effective in managing pruritus in atopic dogs. This case report details the long-term administration of oclacitinib every other day for controlling pruritus in an atopic dog. An 8-year-old atopic Bangkaew dog presented with pruritus, alopecia, and recurrent Malassezia pachydermatis infection. Toxoplasmosis is a protozoan zoonosis caused by Toxoplasma gondii. Marsupials are considered a susceptible intermediate host. T. gondii is mainly transmitted to intermediate hosts via the fecal-oral route. A captive red kangaroo was diagnosed with disseminated toxoplasmosis based on clinicopathological and immunohistochemical (IHC) investigations. Two years later, a five-year-old Parma wallaby was kept in the same area as the red kangaroo and showed clinical signs of depression, withdrawal from the troop, and weakness. An 8-year-old spayed Maltese dog was presented for the evaluation of a lingual mass. The dog had excessive drooling and dysphagia. Oral examination revealed a soft, fluctuating mass at the left side of the tongue. Computed tomography showed a 21 × 32 × 66 mm lingual mass and enlarged left medial retropharyngeal lymph node. On cytology of the lingual mass, a round cell tumor was suspected; however, it was not responsive to glucocorticoid therapy. Because of severe complications, glossectomy and lymphadenectomy were performed; unfortunately, the patient died because of dyspnea in the postoperative period. A twelve-year-old female Shih Tzu was presented for investigation and treatment of a vaginal mass. Partial resection, intracavitary fluid drainage and mucosal lining curettage had been made in the previous laparotomy. Computed tomography (CT) and perioperative gross appearance revealed a large vaginal cyst extended into the pelvic canal that was adhering to the bladder trigone, both ureters, the urethra and the descending colon. The dog had a history of splenectomy and underlying Cushing’s syndrome and had received ursodeoxycholic acid for 2 months. The dog presented with clinical symptoms, including icterus, vomiting, anorexia, lethargy, and abdominal pain. A 1-year-old intact male ragdoll weighing 5.9 kg was presented for general wellness examination and castration. Upon physical examination, neither testes could be palpated in the scrotum. Blood test results (complete blood cell count, serum biochemistry and electrolyte analysis) showed no remarkable findings. Radiographic and ultrasound examination did not detect the right kidney and testis in the abdominal cavity. However, we were unable to visualize the right kidney and testis in the abdominal cavity. A 14-year-old spayed female Shih-Tzu dog was evaluated for a 1-month history of progressive coughing. Results of the complete blood count and serum biochemistry panel indicated inflammation. Thoracic radiography showed pleural effusion, and cytology revealed septic pyothorax. After antibiotics medication, the patient improved clinical signs but relapsed pleural effusion with a suspicious lung lesion. Computed tomography (CT) of the thorax showed a cavitary lesion with ring-enhanced irregular walls and poorly defined margins in the left cranial lung lobe. In this study, meta-analysis on prevalence and zoonotic significance of cryptosporidium infection in camels was performed. This study was completed following the instructions of PRISMA. Data were extracted afterward a complete search, and eligible articles were identified. The data were analyzed using a specific software program for meta-analysis, and the results included effect size, confidence intervals (CI), heterogeneity, and publication bias. A total of 4075 camels from 18 accepted studies were investigated for cryptosporidium infection. Of all, 287 camels were found positive for cryptosporidium infection, with a prevalence of 7.04%. The Coronavirus S protein induces neutralizing antibodies, specific receptor binding, and membrane fusion between the virus and host cells. These changes are crucial to understanding the mechanism, genetic correlates, and prophylactic treatment of viral infection. In this study, the spike (S) protein structure and phylogenetic association of CCoV and FcoV were analyzed using bioinformatics. The results showed that the S proteins of CCoV and FCoV contained transmembrane regions and signal peptides. The S proteins of these coronaviruses were soluble.
