Routinely screening oncology patients for depression is recommended due to the higher rates of depression in this population as well as the negative impact of untreated depression. The goal of this QI project is to implement a standard depression screening protocol for patients admitted to this hospital, where there is currently no standard screening protocol. There were 110 patients included in this study, and 67 (60.91%) of patients received a PHQ-9 screening. At an outpatient clinic in Southern California, a 77% medication adherence rate was observed in August 2024 among clients with ADHD. Medication nonadherence in ADHD clients may result in difficulty reaching therapeutic levels, leading to adverse outcomes, such as family disruptions, substance addiction, injuries, criminal occurrences, and even suicide. The project aims to reduce the number of ADHD clients who are noncompliant with their medications and surpass the national benchmark of 80% medication adherence. Postpartum depression (PPD) and anxiety are significant concerns for mothers with infants in neonatal intensive care units (NICUs); yet the role of parity in shaping these experiences remains underexplored. This cross-sectional secondary analysis examined data from 82 NICU mothers (62 adults, 20 adolescents) using the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale and anxiety subscale. Findings revealed that primiparas and adolescents exhibited higher depression scores and multiparas and adolescents were more likely to experience anxiety symptoms. Parity, however, was not found to be a significant factor capable of predicting PPD or anxiety but results highlight the importance of early screening, personalized mental health …
