This research aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of the current literature on heart failure (HF) management in Lebanon and identify the implications for policy, practice, education, and research. The design of this research was a systematic review following preferred reporting items for systematic reviews and meta-analyses (PRISMA) guidelines. Databases were searched using the search terms “heart failure” and “Lebanon” and associated MeSH terms. Analisis data dilakukan dengan metode Principal Component Analysis (PCA) dan k-means clustering menggunakan 4.453 responden SDKI 2017 mengenai penggunaan KB pria dengan 14 atribut. Anemia pada ibu hamil adalah kondisi di mana kadar Hb < 11 gr/dL. Prevalensi anemia di Indonesia cukup tinggi yaitu sebesar 44%. Target penurunan anemia dapat dicapai melalui program suplementasi zat besi dan asam folat (program IFAS). Indonesia telah sejak 1975 merekomendasikan ibu hamil minum satu tablet IFA selama kehamilan minimal 90 hari hingga 42 hari pasca melahirkan. Hasil Riskesdas 2018, Ibu hamil yang mengonsumsi TTD ≥90 butir adalah sebesar 38,1%, sedangkan data mining.Penelitian ini memadukan metode PCA dan K-Means. Peneliti menggunakan data SDKI Wanita Usia Subur 2017. Data terdiri dari 8 atribut dan 12262 record. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu hasil final cluster metode PCA menghasilkan faktor 1 (Pendidikan, Status Ekonomi, dan Tempat Tinggal), faktor 2 (Konsumsi TTD dan Kunjungan ANC), faktor 3 (Pemeriksa Hamil: Non-Nakes). Hasil metode K-Means terbentuk dua klaster dan ketiga atribut baru terdapat signifikansi.

BACKGROUND: The pandemic poses challenges for in-person procedural skills training. We developed a virtual module for teaching hands-on tracheostomy skills.

OBJECTIVE: To develop and evaluate a virtual module prototype grounded in deliberate practice using tracheostomy change as an example.

METHODS: After identifying desirable features of a virtual module by surveying stakeholders, we designed a prototype using VoiceThread, a multimedia-based collaborative learning platform. We created an asynchronous module accessible to learners for repeated skill practice and for video upload of individual performance on a tracheostomy task trainer using personal devices. This 10-Minute EBD column critically evaluates the outcomes of digital scans versus conventional impressions in fabricating single-unit crowns, focusing on factors such as marginal and internal fit. Employing a PICO question and a literature search pathway via PubMed, the analysis includes systematic reviews and meta-analyses. Findings suggest that crowns from digital scans generally exhibit clinically acceptable marginal and internal fit, often outperforming conventional impressions. However, heterogeneity in study samples and methodologies contributes to varied results. While digital scans meet the standard of care, ongoing research is essential for a comprehensive understanding of the evolving landscape in digital prosthodontics.

The Pulmonary Function Test Time Project (PFT Project) is a quality improvement (QI) initiative designed to decrease PFT testing time and PFT total time in pediatric patients and improve the overall process for both providers and patients. Introduction: Persistent symptoms have been observed in a substantial proportion of survivors of COVID-19 since relatively early in the pandemic. Among these post-acute sequelae of COVID-19 (PASC), respiratory symptoms appear to be the most prevalent.

Methods: We conducted a literature review of peer-reviewed publications in English on the clinical and epidemiological features of respiratory PASC in cohorts of 100 or more patients with a follow-up of four weeks or more after acute infection. BACKGROUND: The COVID-19 pandemic has increased utilization of educational technology for surgical education. Our aim was to determine attitudes and behaviors of surgical education champions towards virtual educational platforms and learner engagement.

METHODS: An electronic survey was distributed to all Association of Surgical Education members addressing i) methods of engagement in virtual learning ii) ways to improve engagement and iii) what influences engagement. Stratified analysis was used to evaluate differences in responses by age, gender, level of training and specialty.

The ADA Lobbyist Conference highlighted crucial issues in dentistry, including Medicare reform, teledentistry, workforce concerns, and insurance challenges. State dental associations collaborated on building advocacy partnerships and shared successful grassroots engagement strategies. Medicare reform discussions focused on the ADA's opposition to Plan B inclusion and the impact of constituent outreach. State associations addressed Medicaid reform, emphasizing personal stories to convey the need for change. Teledentistry legislation and insurance company relationships were also key topics. The insights gained will shape the MDA's advocacy strategy for 2022.

Background:

Imbalance in tryptophan (TRP) metabolism and its neuroactive metabolites, serotonin and kynurenine (KYN), is a known pathogenic mechanism underlying neurocognitive impairment. Gut microbiota plays an important role in TRP metabolism, and the production of these neuroactive molecules affects neurocognitive function. Although both HIV infection and normal aging independently induce gut dysbiosis and influence TRP metabolism, their interactive effects on compositional/functional changes in gut microbiota and consequent alterations in TRP metabolites remain largely undetermined.

Methods:

Filipino-Americans are an understudied minority group with high prevalence and mortality from chronic conditions, such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Facing barriers to care and lack of culturally appropriate health resources, they frequently use the internet to obtain health information.
