Introduction: High doses of activity-based rehabilitation therapy improve outcomes after stroke, but many patients do not receive this for various reasons such as poor access, transportation difficulties, and low compliance. Home-based telerehabilitation (TR) can address these issues. The current study evaluated the feasibility of an expanded TR program.

Objective: Telerehabilitation (TR) is now, in the context of COVID-19, more clinically relevant than ever as a major source of outpatient care. The social network of a patient is a critical yet understudied factor in the success of TR that may influence both engagement in therapy programs and post-stroke outcomes. We designed a 12-week home-based TR program for stroke patients and evaluated which social factors might be related to motor gains and reduced depressive symptoms.

This article describes an effort to create a series of interactive virtual activities related to the cervical spine and upper extremities for novice students enrolled in the Applied Anatomy course (see example below). It also explores important considerations for educators when utilizing technology to teach physical therapy telemedicine skills.

Senior nursing students in the last semester of a community college nursing program take the Health Education Systems Incorporated (HESI) Exit Exam to evaluate their ability to pass National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). The objective of this project was to implement a virtual game simulation on pain assessment and management to improve scores related to the concepts of pain comparing two different cohorts. Senior nursing students were offered the virtual game simulation and could voluntarily report attempts and results through a Google ™ Form.

By theoretically and empirically comparing the Comprehensive Model of Information Seeking (CMIS) and the Risk Information Seeking and Processing Model (RISP), this dissertation aims to unpack the core mechanism of health and risk information seeking. Older persons with obesity aged 65+ residing in rural areas have reduced access to weight management programs due to geographic isolation. The ability to integrate technology into health promotion interventions shows a potential to reach this underserved population. Methods

Chronic wasting  disease (CWD)  is  a 100  percent  fatal,  prion  disease of  deer  that  has  the potential  to decimate  the  deer  population and  jump to  the  human  population.   A  simple  Google  search on  the  “origin of  chronic wasting  disease” yielded  a total  of  56  relevant  articles.   Of  these,  75  percent  report  that  the origin  is  unknown,  19.6  percent  report  that  the  disease  may  have  originated  in  a  Fort  Collins,  Colorado, government  research facility, and 5.4 percent  report  other  possible  origins.  Government  sources  reported the  Fort  Collins  theory  4.3 percent  of  the  time  while  non-governmental  sources,  such  as news articles, reported …
