Detection and analysis of volatile organic compounds’ (VOCs) biomarkers lead to improvement in healthcare diagnosis and other applications such as chemical threat detection and food quality control. Here, we report on tri-molybdenum phosphide (Mo₃P) and multi- walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT) junction-based vapor quantum resistive sensors (vQRSs), which exhibit more than one order of magni- tude higher sensitivity and superior selectivity for biomarkers in comparison to pristine MWCNT junctions based vQRSs. With the shift to patient- and person-centered care, personal health records (PHRs) have been touted as a strategy to empower patients, improve patient-provider communication, and support self-management. Health care organizations around the world have implemented PHRs in a global push to meet three aims of health care—improve access to care, reduce costs, and increase the quality of care. The capabilities that PHRs support vary by organizations, yet basic functions include allowing patients to view their laboratory results, refill prescription medications, and request appointments. More advanced PHRs enable patient-centered communication through secure messaging.

Telehealth is a rapidly growing field that affords individuals the opportunity to receive access to specialty providers, reduce expenses and travel, break down geographic barriers, deliver equality of care, and improve patient outcomes. Equality of healthcare for pediatric patients with chronic health conditions in rural areas face geographic barriers to delivery of care, resulting in poor patient outcomes, and increased costs.
