Background/Intro Tumor calcinosis is a rare disease, and its association with greater trochanteric pain syndrome, abscess formation, and Osteomyelitis has not been well studied. Case presentation A 63-year-old woman with a known history of tumor calcinosis presents with right hip pain for 5 days. She woke up with a pain that was constant, alleviated with resting and getting worse with exertion and rolling on that side. She reports a t-max of 101F. Our objective in discussing this case is to explore an approach to the various etiologies of ascites, thereby encouraging clinicians to consider extrahepatic differentials during disease management. To do so, we examined the following case of ascites in the setting of underlying malignancy. Case Presentation. An 85-year-old female presented with rapid-onset abdominal distension as well as dark stools and shortness of breath. She had also experienced progressive weakness, malaise, and weight loss over the last year. Past medical history was notable for endometriosis, hyperlipidemia, and xanthogranulomatous pyelonephritis. Introduction. Pleural effusion is a frequently acquired lung disorder and based on the type of cause it is divided into malignant and non-malignant pleural effusion. Cytological examination of pleural fluid to differentiate between malignant and non-malignant pleural effusion shows varying sensitivity. Background: Patients with prostate cancer undergoing radiation therapy (RT) need comfortably full bladders to reduce toxicities during treatment. Poor compliance is common with standard of care written or verbal instructions, leading to wasted patient value (PV) and clinic resources via poor throughput efficiency (TE).

Objective: Herein, we assessed the feasibility and acceptability of a smartphone-based behavioral intervention (SBI) to improve bladder-filling compliance and methods for quantifying PV and TE.

BACKGROUND: The differential gene expression profile of metastatic versus primary breast tumors represents an avenue for discovering new or underappreciated pathways underscoring processes of metastasis. However, as tumor biopsy samples are a mixture of cancer and non-cancer cells, most differentially expressed genes in metastases would represent confounders involving sample biopsy site rather than cancer cell biology.

It remains unknown how often concomitant disease can mask other, more serious conditions in psychiatric patients.

Kidney cancer has emerged as a major medical problem in recent times. Multiple compounds are used to treat kidney cancer by triggering cancer-causing gene targets. For instance, isoquercitrin (quercetin-3-O-β-d-glucopyranoside) is frequently present in fruits, vegetables, medicinal herbs, and foods and drinks made from plants. Our previous study predicted using protein-protein interaction (PPI) and molecular docking analysis that the isoquercitrin compound can control kidney cancer and inflammation by triggering potential gene targets of IGF1R, PIK3CA, IL6, and PTGS2. Background: Rosai Dorfman Disease (RDD, also known as sinus histiocytosis with massive lymphadenopathy) is a rare non-Langerhans cell histiocytosis, classified into nodal (classic) and extranodal disease. Most patients present with non-tender cervical lymphadenopathy, although other sites including the inguinal and axillary regions have been reported. Extranodal disease (~43% of cases) can involve any organ system. RDD is more common in children, but cases have been reported in patients in their 70s. The prognosis of nodal RDD can correlate with the number of nodal groups involved. CT during hepatic arteriography (CTHA) is a highly sensitive imaging method for detecting colorectal liver metastases (CLMs), which supports its use during percutaneous thermal liver ablation. In contrast to its high sensitivity, its specificity for incidental small CLMs not detected at preablation cross-sectional imaging is believed to be low given the absence of specific imaging signatures and the common presence of pseudolesions. γδ T cells play an important role in disease control in acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and have become an emerging area of therapeutic interest. These cells represent a minor population of T lymphocytes with intrinsic abilities to recognize antigens in a major histocompatibility complex-independent manner and functionally straddle the innate and adaptive immunity interface. AML shows high expression of phosphoantigens and UL-16 binding proteins that activate the Vδ2 and Vδ1 subtypes of γδ T cells, respectively, leading to γδ T cell-mediated cytotoxicity.
