Objective This study compared the bond strength of glass fiber post to dentin using different irrigation methods and solutions and to evaluate the bond strength in different regions of the root. Methods One hundred human anterior maxillary teeth were randomly divided into 10 groups (n=10). Root canal filling and post space preparation were carried out followed by diverse final irrigation techniques. The aim of this in vitro study was to investigate the effect of remineralization and time on the color and microhardness change of teeth bleached using 10% carbamide peroxide (10%CP) or 40% hydrogen peroxide (40%HP). Seventy-two 6x6x2 mm3 enamel slabs were prepared from human premolars. The specimens' color and Vickers' microhardness were recorded at baseline (T0). Objective To investigate the effect of the taper-implant design and the effect of bone quality on the primary stability in terms of insertion torque test, removal torque test and resonance frequency analysis. Methods Five taper-implant designs were test in artificial bone blocks with four qualities. Five repetitions per implant design were placed in each bone quality started from softest bone block. Purpose: To evaluate the longevity and mechanical, biological and aesthetic performance of ceramic veneers placed after 5 to 7 years in service. Materials and Methods: Ceramic veneer restorations were clinically examined following modified from the United States Public Health Service (USPHS) and World Dental Federation (FDI) criteria. Clinical evaluation was performed by two clinicians regarding mechanical, biological and aesthetic performances during maintenance appointments between September 2016 and August 2017. The host response in peri-implant tissue may differ from that in periodontal tissue in a healthy individual. The purpose of this study is to investigate the expression of inflammatory cytokines in peri-implant crevicular fluid (PICF)from single implant with two different abutment types in comparison to healthy periodontal tissue. Moreover, the effect of these inflammatory cytokines on the expression of FAK and RANKL were also studied. The formation of a vascular network is crucial to provide a suitable environment for tissue regeneration. Thus, promoting angiogenesis is essential for successful pulpal repair in regenerative endodontics therapy. Mannan in the outermost layer of Candida cell wall may be the first molecules that interact with host dendritic cells (DCs) and activate immune responses that determine disease outcomes. However, little is known how different mannan structures of common Candida species affect DC activation and T cell responses. Thus, this work compared the effects of mannans of Candida albicans, Candida tropicalis, Candida glabrata, Candida krusei, Candida parapsilosis and Candida dubliniensis on bone marrow-derived DC (BMDC) responses in mice. This study aimed to evaluate 1) the characteristics of different amount of 3-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane (MPS) deposited on zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnOnps) by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) before and after tetrahydrofuran washing, 2) the effect of different MPS amount deposited on ZnOnps incorporated in PMMA material on mechanical properties, and 3) the effect of different ZnOnps amounts with or without MPS incorporated in PMMA material on antifungal, optical and mechanical properties. The objective of this study was to determine the association of complete denture quality, patient's satisfaction, and Oral Health-related Quality of Life (OHRQoL). A total of 126 complete denture wearers was interviewed for the primary outcome, OHRQoL, using Oral Impacts on Daily Performances (OIDP) index. Secondary outcomes were patient's satisfaction and masticatory performance. Denture retention and stability were scored following the conventional and Chulalongkorn University (CU)-modified Kapur criteria. Esthetic-assessment criteria was evaluated from patient's photographs. ช่องว่างของการบูรณะเรซิน คอมโพสิตชนิดบูรณะทั้งก้อนในโพรงฟันชนิดคลาสทู, ชินเดช จิระอานนท์

การศึกษาในครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อประเมินถึงผลของวิธีการบูรณะวัสดุเรซิน คอมโพสิตชนิดบูรณะทั้งก้อนที่มีรูปแบบผลิตภัณฑ์และลักษณะการใช้งานที่แตกต่างกันในโพรงฟันชนิดคลาสทู ต่อช่องว่างที่เกิดขึ้นในการบูรณะ ด้วยเครื่องไมโครคอมพิวเตดโทโมกราฟฟี่ โดยทำการเตรียมโพรงฟันชนิดคลาสทูในฟันกรามน้อยซี่ที่หนึ่งทั้งหมด 40 ซี่ และแบ่งตามกลุ่มของการบูรณะเป็น 4 กลุ่ม ได้แก่ กลุ่มที่ 1 บูรณะด้วยฟิลเทค บัลค์ฟิลล์ โพสทีเรียแบบหลอด (Filtek Bulk Fill Posterior, Syringes) โดยตักวัสดุใส่โพรงฟันเพียงครั้งเดียว กลุ่มที่ 2 บูรณะด้วยฟิลเทค บัลค์ฟิลล์ โพสทีเรียแบบหลอด (Filtek Bulk Fill Posterior, Syringes) โดยตักวัสดุใส่โพรงฟันสองครั้ง กลุ่มที่ 3 บูรณะด้วยฟิลเทค บัลค์ฟิลล์ โพสทีเรียแบบแคปซูล (Filtek Bulk Fill Posterior, Capsule) โดยฉีดวัสดุเพียงครั้งเดียว และกลุ่มที่ 4 ทำการบูรณะด้วยโซนิคฟิลล์แบบแคปซูล (SonicFill 2, Capsule) โดยฉีดวัสดุเพียงครั้งเดียวจากเครื่องมือฉีดสำหรับวัสดุโซนิคฟิลล์ (SonicFill Handpiece) สารยึดติด OptiBond FL ถูกใช้เตรียมพื้นผิวโพรงฟันก่อนบูรณะ ภายหลังบูรณะเก็บชิ้นตัวอย่างไว้ในตู้ที่มีความชื้นสัมพัทธ์ร้อยละ 100 ที่ อุณหภูมิ 37 องศาเซลเซียส เป็นเวลา 24 ชั่วโมง จากนั้นประเมินร้อยละของช่องว่างที่เกิดขึ้นทั้งหมดภายในโพรงฟันที่บูรณะแล้วด้วยเครื่องไมโครคอมพิวเตดโทโมกราฟฟี่ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วย One-way ANOVA ร่วมกับ Tukey Post-hoc test ที่ระดับความเชื่อมั่นร้อยละ 95 ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ร้อยละของช่องว่างในกลุ่มที่ 2 ซึ่งบูรณะด้วยการตักวัสดุสองครั้ง (1.62 %) มากกว่ากลุ่มอื่น ๆ อย่างมีนัยสำคัญ ขณะที่ร้อยละของช่องว่างของกลุ่มที่ 1 ซึ่งตักวัสดุเพียงครั้งเดียวหรือกลุ่มที่ 3 และ 4 ซึ่งฉีดวัสดุใส่โพรงฟันเพียงครั้งเดียวไม่แตกต่างกัน (0.49 %, 0.33 % และ 0.21 % ตามลำดับ) …

แลคโตเฟอรินเป็นปัจจัยสำคัญในระบบภูมิคุ้มกันแต่กำเนิด ซึ่งมีฤทธิ์ต้านเชื้อจุลชีพหลายชนิด ทั้งเชื้อรา ไวรัส และแบคทีเรียขอบเขตกว้าง มีการศึกษาเกี่ยวกับกลไกและบทบาททางชีวภาพของแลคโตเฟอรินออกมาอย่างต่อเนื่อง รวมถึงการศึกษาที่ผ่านมา ที่พบความสัมพันธ์ของระดับแลคโตเฟอรินที่ลดลงและการติดเชื้อราในช่องปาก อย่างไรก็ดี ยังไม่เคยมีการศึกษาถึงความสัมพันธ์ของระดับแลคโตเฟอรินในน้ำลายของผู้ป่วยที่ได้รับการรักษาด้วยยาสเตียรอยด์เฉพาะที่ ซึ่งทราบกันดีว่าเป็นปัจจัยหนึ่งที่เป็นช่องทางให้เกิดการติดเชื้อราแคนดิดาในช่องปาก การวิจัยนี้จึงมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเปรียบเทียบระดับของแลคโตเฟอรินในน้ำลายก่อนและหลังการรักษาด้วยยาฟลูโอซิโนโลน อะเซทโทไนด์ ความเข้มข้นร้อยละ 0.1 ชนิดขี้ผึ้งป้ายปาก ในผู้เข้าร่วมโครงการที่เป็นกลุ่มผู้ป่วยโรคไลเคนแพลนัสช่องปาก และกลุ่มผู้ป่วยที่เป็นรอยโรคไลเคนอยด์ช่องปากสาเหตุจากยา ผลการทดลองไม่พบความแตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติของระดับแลคโตเฟอรินในน้ำลายเปรียบเทียบก่อนและหลังการรักษาด้วยยาสเตียรอยด์เฉพาะที่ทั้งในผู้เข้าร่วมโครงการที่เป็นกลุ่มผู้ป่วยโรคไลเคนแพลนัสช่องปาก และกลุ่มผู้ป่วยที่เป็นรอยโรคไลเคนอยด์ช่องปากสาเหตุจากยา (p = 0.100 และ 0.099 ตามลำดับ) นอกจากนี้ ผลการวิเคราะห์ทางสถิติยังไม่พบความแตกต่างของอัตราการไหลของน้ำลาย และอัตราการไหลของแลคโตเฟอรินเปรียบเทียบก่อนและหลังการรักษาด้วยยาสเตียรอยด์เฉพาะที่ทั้งในผู้เข้าร่วมโครงการที่เป็นกลุ่มผู้ป่วยโรคไลเคนแพลนัสช่องปาก และกลุ่มผู้ป่วยที่เป็นรอยโรคไลเคนอยด์ช่องปากสาเหตุจากยา และจำนวนเชื้อราแคนดิดาในผู้เข้าร่วมโครงการที่เป็นกลุ่มผู้ป่วยโรคไลเคนแพลนัสช่องปาก อย่างไรก็ดี ผลการนับจำนวนโคโลนีของราแคนดิดาก่อนและหลังการรักษาด้วยยาสเตียรอยด์เฉพาะที่ในกลุ่มผู้ป่วยที่เป็นรอยโรคไลเคนอยด์ช่องปากสาเหตุจากยามีความแตกต่างกันอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (p = 0.028)
