Introduction: Right lower quadrant pain is a common presentation of acute appendicitis, but presentations in elderly patients may be subtle. Appendiceal obstruction is frequently caused by fecaliths; however, not all radiopaque findings in the appendix represent fecaliths. Rarely, these obstructions can mimic metallic foreign bodies on imaging, complicating interpretation and management. This case highlights an unusual radiologic presentation of appendiceal obstruction with metallic appearance, underscoring the importance of careful image analysis in atypical cases of appendicitis.

Problem Statement: Cesarean delivery is associated with significant postoperative pain, typically managed with spinal anesthesia using a local anesthetic. While opioids are often added as adjuncts, the addition of dexmedetomidine, an alpha-2 agonist, has emerged as a potential alternative that may enhance the efficacy of the spinal block in terms of pain management, potentially improving block duration and quality compared to local anesthetic alone.

Introduction: Pericardial effusion resulting from uremic pericarditis is a complication associated with chronic kidney disease (CKD). In patients with advanced CKD or End Stage renal disease (ESRD) renal transplant is the definitive treatment to improve long term outcomes. Doxorubicin is an effective, commonly used chemotherapeutic drug. However, this drug is accompanied with disadvantages. Specifically, doxorubicin is associated with cardiotoxicity, characterized by left ventricle dysfunction. We hypothesize that 4D ultrasound imaging can reveal cardiac changes associated with doxorubicin-induced cardiotoxicity earlier in disease progression than 2D ultrasound imaging. To test this hypothesis, C57BL/6J mice were separated into treatment or control groups. Intraperitoneal injections were administered weekly for 4 weeks, each dosage equivalent to 4 mg/kg of either doxorubicin (treated) or saline (control). Traumatic brain injury (TBI)-related growth hormone deficiency is often undertreated, despite documented physical, metabolic, and neuropsychiatric effects. Insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1), with neuroreceptors located in brain regions responsible for learning, memory, and mood, regulates cerebral blood flow, neurogenesis, and neuroplasticity. The aim of this study was to determine associations between IGF-1 levels and post-TBI symptom severity, anxiety, and depression. Introduction: Mesonephric-like carcinoma (MLC) is a newly described malignant tumor that represents 1% of endometrial cancers. The etiology of this disease is currently unknown but immunohistochemical expression with GATA-3, PAX-8 and TTF-1 and lack of ER/PR positivity can aid in correct diagnosis.

Case Summary: A 73-year-old female presented to the hospital with post-menopausal bleeding, an initial hysteroscopy identified a lesion suggestive of endometrial cancer. Ultimately, the patient underwent a hysterectomy and a bilateral salpingectomy/oophorectomy. Chemotherapy ensued due to metastatic disease. At 7 months post-op, the patient appeared to be doing well.

Results: Grossly, the lesion was 5.5 cm and appeared …
