This research discussed on the This thesis aims to determine the factors that associated compliance patien lung Tuberculosis to swallowing drug at Rumah Sehat Terpadu Dompet Dhuafa Hospital 2015This research used mix methods approach with cross sectional design. This research found that there is still non compliances patient lung tuberculosis to swallowing medicine. The compliance is related on behavior (Predisposisi, Enabling, dan Reinforcing) and non behavior factor. To increase the compliance this research suggest to hospital support fot TB DOTS program, intens of counseling, support the PMO, availability of drug, and frequent recording dan reporting.

Department of Radiology Dr. Mohammad Hoesin hospital in Palembang 2014, many patients perform chest x ray examination, whom were patients radiographic outpatient. The waiting time radiographic services in RSMH not in accordance with the Standard Minimum Service Hospital less than 3 hours. This study aims to determine the factors associated with waiting time chest X-ray. This research was conducted by measuring the waiting time to 68 selected respondents The result showed radiographic waiting time 184.44 minutes. Based on statistical test found the waiting time in the reading room is the photo that most affect the length of waiting time radiographic.

The study aims to determine the factors associated with the effectiveness of nurse and patient communication atinpatient unit in Harapan Mulia Hospitallocated in Bekasi Regency.It is a quantitative study with cross-sectional design.Samples are the total population amounted to 30 nurses with 60 patients as respondentsconducted in March - May 2015. The results showed that 53.3% of patients perceived that nurses’s communication was effective, further analysis with logistic regression showed no significant relationship between the characters nurses, physical and mental fatigue, language, leadership and management support for hospitals, facilities and reward with the nurses and patients communication effectiveness.

Following stroke, the brain undergoes various stages of recovery where the central nervous system can reorganize neural circuitry (neuroplasticity) both spontaneously and with the aid of behavioral rehabilitation and non-invasive brain stimulation. Multiple neuroimaging techniques can characterize common structural and functional stroke-related deficits, and importantly, help predict recovery of function. Diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) typically reveals increased overall diffusivity throughout the brain following stroke, and is capable of indexing the extent of white matter damage. BACKGROUND: Cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) of ventricular structure and function is widely performed using cine balanced steady state free precession (bSSFP) MRI. The bSSFP signal of myocardium is weighted by magnetization transfer (MT) and T1/T2-relaxation times. In edematous and fibrotic tissues, increased T2 and reduced MT lead to increased signal intensity on images acquired with high excitation flip angles. We hypothesized that acquisition of two differentially MT-weighted bSSFP images (termed 2-point bSSFP) can identify tissue that would enhance with gadolinium similar to standard of care late gadolinium enhancement (LGE).

Usual sleep duration is a heritable trait correlated with psychiatric morbidity, cardiometabolic disease and mortality, although little is known about the genetic variants influencing this trait. A genome-wide association study (GWAS) of usual sleep duration was conducted using 18 population-based cohorts totaling 47 180 individuals of European ancestry. Genome-wide significant association was identified at two loci. The strongest is located on chromosome 2, in an intergenic region 35- to 80-kb upstream from the thyroid-specific transcription factor PAX8 (lowest P=1.1 × 10 -9). This finding was replicated in an African-American sample of 4771 individuals (lowest P=9.3 × 10 -4). The strongest …

Child abuse is the physical, psychological, or neglectful maltreatment of a child by a caregiver. Intimate partner violence relates closely to child mistreatment. Children are not likely to disclose that their parent or guardian is abusing them. Child abuse may result in short-term consequences, long-term consequences, or death. Some negative outcomes of maltreatment include delinquency, mental health issues, physical problems, educational underachievement, and socioeconomic disparities. The cycle of mistreatment is when a parent who suffered abuse as a child is more likely to maltreat his or her own child. There are factors that protect from the consequences of mistreatment. BACKGROUND: Prostate cancer is a heterogeneous disease, but current treatments are not based on molecular stratification. We hypothesized that metastatic, castration-resistant prostate cancers with DNA-repair defects would respond to poly(adenosine diphosphate [ADP]-ribose) polymerase (PARP) inhibition with olaparib.

METHODS: We conducted a phase 2 trial in which patients with metastatic, castration-resistant prostate cancer were treated with olaparib tablets at a dose of 400 mg twice a day. Fasting serum phosphorus (P) was reported to be inversely related to serum glucose and insulin, while the impact of P ingestion is not well documented. The effect of P intake with or before glucose ingestion on postprandial glucose and insulin statuses was investigated.

Method:

Two cross over experiments using healthy male subjects were conducted. Experiment 1: Overnight fasted subjects (n∈=∈7) randomly received: 500 mg of P tablets, glucose (75 g) solution with placebo or 500 mg of P tablets. There is strong evidence that participatory approaches to health and participatory women’s groups hold great potential to improve the health of women and children in resource poor settings. It is important to consider if interventions are reaching the most marginalized, and therefore we examined disabled women’s participation in women’s groups and other community groups in rural Nepal. People with disabilities constitute 15% of the world’s population and face high levels of poverty, stigma, social marginalization and unequal access to health resources, and therefore their access to women’s groups is particularly important. Background: The HPV vaccine is a primary prevention method available to reduce the burden of HPV-related cancers and genital warts. The vaccine is currently approved for catch-up vaccination among women 18 to 26 years of age. Despite this recommendation, the rate of vaccine uptake among this group is considerably low (~34% uptake). One demographic characteristic that is consistently reported as a risk factor for non-vaccination is relationship status, specifically married or monogamous relationships.
