Background: The association between psoriasis and metabolic syndrome is appealing as the two may share a similar cross-linking systemic inflammation process. The inflammation processes occurring in obesity and psoriasis may aggravate one another. This raised the question of whether a low-calorie diet would possibly reverse the aforementioned process. This study aims to determine whether calorie restriction reduces psoriasis area and severity index (PASI) in obese patients with moderate-to-severe psoriasis receiving conventional treatment compared to no calorie restriction.

Background: Acne vulgaris is a skin disease that can cause permanent scarring. Various therapeutic options are available to treat atrophic scars, but combination therapy is still the best choice according to different types of scars in a single patient. Chemical reconstruction of skin scars (CROSS) trichloroacetic acid (TCA), modified subcutaneous incisionless (subcision), and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) can be used as a combination therapy to treat acne scars.

Background: Severe erythema nodosum leprosum (ENL) is common but difficult to treat. Long term use of systemic corticosteroid causes side effects. This study compares the use of a combination of pentoxifylline + oral corticosteroids with a single oral corticosteroid in leprosy patients with severe ENL reactions. Parameters measured include skin RSA score, systemic RSA, total corticosteroid dose, resolution time of skin lesions, improvement of pain VAS and treatment side effects.

Skin cancer is a global health concern due to its growing incidence and high mortality rate. The most common therapeutic modalities in skin cancer include surgery, radiotherapy, and chemotherapy. However, those therapies do not specifically target cancer cells and may damage healthy tissues. Cancer induces immune response by releasing soluble antigens and danger signals caused by tumor cellular stress or death, while the immune system continuously monitor and control malignant proliferation through cancer immunoediting. Sikap responsif seorang anak terhadap ibunya merupakan salah satu sikap yang akan terbentuk melalui pola pengasuhan. Pola asuh tidak terlepas dari karakterstik dalam diri orang tua, terlebih ibu. Karakteristik tersebut memberi warna dalam pola asuh yang diterapkan pada anak. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, studi ini bertujuan untuk meneliti hubungan antara karakteristik ibu dengan sikap responsif pada anak. Studi ini menggunakan desain penelitian cross sectional. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode online survey dan wawancara yang disertai observasi. Subjek studi sebanyak 88 responden. Workers in any industry are at risk for Work-related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WMSDs) including office administration workers. This study aims to analyze the interaction of posture with work equipment using the rapid office strain assessment (ROSA) method to assess the ergonomic risk factor. This study found typing is an area requiring ergonomic intervention with chair is more influential (52%) than monitors and other office equipment (48%). Meanwhile other equipment that affects worker posture is mouse and keyboard (62%) compared to telephone and monitor (38%). WMSDs in office administration workers are strongly affected by the chair, mouse and keyboard.

Stroke is a health problem that affects a person's independence. Occupational therapists can carry out community-based occupational therapy (TOBM) in intervening in stroke patients. The aim of this intervention is to improve the patient's ability to cook from an occupational therapy perspective. In community service through TOBM, stroke patients in Siteari village were given an intervention for 1 month to assess an increase in independence in cooking. There are results that TOBM can increase patient independence in cooking.

Situs inversus is a rare congenital anomaly where the internal organs are transposed in a mirror image. It is commonly unrecognized until a patient comes with a complaint, especially in developing countries where people do not have a routine medical checkup. We report a case of a young female with unusual left lower quadrant pain abdominal pain. Perforated appendicitis leading to peritonitis was confirmed using ultrasonography and successfully treated with laparotomy.
