Introduction: The aim of this work is to formulate and study the thermoresponsive system with hyaluronic acid (HA) as a polysaccharide backbone grafted with poly-(N-isopropylacrylamide) (pNIPAM) for stabilization of highly sensitive molecule. Methods: The nanogel forming polymer was synthesized through EDC/NHS coupling reaction. The HA grafted pNIPAM (HA-g-pNIPAM) can be self-assembled to form gel particle. The synthesized HA-g-pNIPAM polymers were characterized by 1H NMR. Size, influence of media to forming nanogel, thermoresponsive behavior and influence of HA-g-pNIPAM nanogel network on curcumin loading capacity and stability were investigated by dynamic light scattering (DLS) and UV-VIS spectrophotometry. In the past decades, with substantial growth of pharmaceutical companies and the need in enhancement of quality paradigms, adoption of systematic science based technologies was an inherent demand of regulatory agencies and one such technology is quality by design (QbD). The approved interrelated International Council on Harmonization of Technical Requirements for pharmaceuticals for Human Use guidelines, Q8 (pharmaceutical development), Q9 (quality risk management [QRM]), and Q10 (pharmaceutical quality system) drove the path in successful implementation of QbD. Introduction: Andrographis paniculata contained many pharmacologically active diterpenoids. Objectives: A simple and rapid isocratic reverse phase chromatographic method was developed using UPLC for simultaneous determination of 5 diterpenoids; andrographolide, deoxyandrographiside, neoandrographolide, 14-deoxyandrographolide and 14-deoxy-11,12-didehydroandrographolide in A. paniculata capsules. Materials and Methods: The chromatographic separation was achieved on a Waters Acquity BEH C18, 50 × 2.1 mm, 1.7 μm column using mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile and water in a ratio of 25:75 (v/v). The aim of this study was to compare the cost-effectiveness of manidipine to amlodipine as an add-on to renin-angiotensin system blockers (RASBs) to slow down kidney degeneration in hypertensive patients with diabetes mellitus and proteinuria. P-glycoprotein (P-gp) is an efflux transporter protecting cells from various chemical threats. Upregulation of P-gp expression, mediated by reactive oxygen species (ROS), has been reported in doxorubicin-treated cells. However, during cell differentiation cellular redox status may vary. This study investigated the influence of cell differentiation on doxorubicin-mediated P-gp expression in Caco-2 cells, and its relation to cellular redox status. During 21-day culture, Caco-2 cells were divided into pre-, during-, and post-differentiation, based on total cell numbers, percentage of G0/G1 cells, and alkaline phosphatase activity. Objectives: The physico-chemical and filler-binder-disintegrant properties of improved hydrophilic powder (HP) derived from the fibre of Ipomoea batatas tuber in a paracetamol tablet was studied.Materials and Methods: A 200 g of the powdered fibre was blended with 600 ml of 0.125 N NaOH and washed with deionized water until neutral, then stirred in 200 ml of 0.50 N HCl, washed until neutral. This study was aimed to develop and validate HPTLC densitometric and image analysis method for the quantification of crebanine and dicentrine in S. venosa tuber and their commercial products in Thailand. HPTLC analysis was performed on an aluminum sheet of silica gel using dichloromethane:ethyl acetate:methanol (21:6:3, v/v/v) as a mobile phase. The densitometric scanning was performed at the wavelength 290 nm, while image analysis was visualized after post-derivatization with Dragendorff’s reagent and processed by the ImageJ processing software. The present investigation aimed with systematic analytical studies on the macroscopic, microscopic examination of male and female CF flowers, various solvent extractions, accompanied by phytochemical screening through chemical tests, identification of Berberine alkaloids, antioxidant activity, and Berberine quantification byhigh-performance thin-layer chromatography (HPTLC) process. The plant Mitragyna speciosa Korth. is receiving increased attention as a therapeutic substitution for opioid use disorder (OUD). The active alkaloids constituents of the plant, particularly mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine, have been shown to modulate opioid receptors, acting as agonists at mu-opioid receptors. Given this pharmacology, several studies have examined the abuse and dependence potential of M. speciosa and its alkaloids in various animal models of dependence. This study aimed to synthesize a poly(ethylene glycol) diacrylate-modified chitosan (CS-PEGDA) as a mucoadhesive polymer for transmucosal drug delivery. Chitosan-cysteine (Cys-CS) was synthesized by coupling chemistry. Cys-CS was then employed for the synthesis of CS-PEGDA through a thiol-ene click reaction between the thiol groups of Cys-CS and alkene groups of PEGDA using triethanolamine as an activator. The obtained structure of the synthesized polymer was proved using Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy. This study evaluated DTPs in asthma identified during a pharmacist-led intervention in the asthma clinics of two Nigerian hospitals. Eligible participants were patients with asthma recruited into a pharmacist-led intervention study and followed up for 6 months. Introduction: Moa Chub’s gout formulation (MCHGF), a traditional Thai herbal remedy, is used for the treatment of pain and swelling related to gout. Objective: This study aimed to determine MCHGF’s analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antihyperuricemic effects. Materials and Methods: The analgesic activity of MCHGF was studied in mice using an acetic acid-induced writhing test and the hot-plate method. The anti-inflammatory activity of MCHGF was evaluated in rats using carrageenan-induced paw edema. Introduction: Kratom (Mitragyna speciosa Korth) is currently used as an alternative for the self-treatment of pain and management of opioid dependence and withdrawal. Due to the opioid-like effect of the plant’s active alkaloid, mitragynine (MG), the evaluation of its ability to maintain self-administration in animal models of opioid dependence appears to be great significance. The first questionnaire addressed the present situation and the expected system sent by mail. Lasianthus stipularis Blume is a medicinal plant found in the tropical rainforests of peninsular Thailand and Malaysia. Its leaves are used in traditional medicine to treat a condition called “noise in the head” (i.e., ear infections). As such infections are often caused by Gram-negative bacteria; this species of Lasianthus may have antibacterial effects. In this study, we examined the non-polar fractions from the leaves and stem bark of L. stipularis using thin-layer chromatography and high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). Precipitation due to supersaturation phenomenon and intraluminal solubilization behavior is mainly faced on reducing bioavailability, particularly for weak base drugs. Incomplete and extend of absorption can be avoided by modification of drug-excipient interaction namely polymers. This interaction is proposed to stabilize the amorphous form of drug through reducing nucleation followed by crystal growth.
