Precision Nanomedicine For Anxiety: Challenges, Opportunities, And Future Directions In Targeted Drug Delivery, Sehrabpreet Singh, Amanpreet Singh, Shruti Chittu, Shailesh Sharma
Journal of Food and Drug Analysis
Nanoparticle-based drug delivery system represents one of the challenging strategies suggested to improve anxietydisorder therapeutic approaches, clinic challenges of delayed action, side effect-free designing and poor patientcompliance. Traditional pharmacological agents can increase drug bioavailability and target specific brain regions, whereas nanoparticle-mediated controlled release offers enhanced precision and sustained action. The others in thisreview concentrate on several kinds of nanoparticle, including lipid-based, polymeric-metallic, and responsive nano-particles, their use in anxiety medication. In addition, emphasis is placed on precision medicine that pertain the delivery of treatment based on an individual's genetic, environmental and lifestyle aspects. Also, it is looked into how artificial intelligence …
Targeted Nanosponge-Based Treatment For Pulmonary Hypertension: A Novel Approach, Jashanpreet Kaur, Gursimran Kaur, Chamanpreet Kaur, Sandeep Kumar
Targeted Nanosponge-Based Treatment For Pulmonary Hypertension: A Novel Approach, Jashanpreet Kaur, Gursimran Kaur, Chamanpreet Kaur, Sandeep Kumar
Journal of Food and Drug Analysis
Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) is a progressive and potentially fatal condition marked by high pulmonary arterypressure, resulting in heart failure and reduced oxygenation. Despite advancements in treatments, therapeutic optionsfor PH remain limited, particularly in cases resistant to conventional therapies. In biomedical research, nanotechnologyhas become a potential area of study, presenting novel approaches to drug delivery and tissue targeting. Nanosponges, aclass of nanoparticles with porous structures, have gained attention for their ability to encapsulate therapeutic agents, enhance drug stability, and provide controlled release. Nanosponges can be engineered to deliver vasodilators, anti-inflammatory drugs, and gene therapies directly to the pulmonary vasculature, minimizing systemic side …

USF Tampa Graduate Theses and Dissertations
Background: Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is a major contributor to death and disability due to motorvehicle accidents, sports, physical abuse, and battlefield injuries. The primary insult to the brain leads to inflammation, vascular dysfunction, and oxidative stress in the brain as well as in the eye. This leads to loss of Retinal Ganglion Cells (RGCs) and downregulation of Brain derived Neurotopic Factor (BDNF). BDNF is a neurotrophic factor that binds to Tropomyosin Receptor Kinase B (TrkB) receptor to promote cell growth, survival, and differentiation. Current treatment strategies do not promote neuronal regeneration. Therefore, novel treatments are needed to restore vision …
Electrospray Deposition Of Polyvinylidene Fluoride (Pvdf) Microparticles: Impact Of Solvents And Flow Rate, Akinwunmi Joaquim, Omari Paul, Michael Ibezim, Dewayne Johnson, April Falconer, Ying Wu, Frances Williams, Richard Mu
Electrospray Deposition Of Polyvinylidene Fluoride (Pvdf) Microparticles: Impact Of Solvents And Flow Rate, Akinwunmi Joaquim, Omari Paul, Michael Ibezim, Dewayne Johnson, April Falconer, Ying Wu, Frances Williams, Richard Mu
TIGER Institute Faculty Research
Polymeric microparticles have been shown to have great impacts in the area of drug delivery, biosensing, and tissue engineering. Electrospray technology, which provides a simple yet effective technique in the creation of microparticles, was utilized in this work. In addition, altering the electrospray experimental parameters such as applied voltage, flow rate, collector distance, solvents, and the polymer-solvent mixtures can result in differences in the size and morphology of the produced microparticles. The effects of the flow rate at (0.15, 0.3, 0.45, 0.6, 0.8, and 1 mL/h) and N, N-Dimethylformamide (DMF)/acetone solvent ratios (20:80, 40:60, 60:40, 80:20, 100:0 v/v) in the …
Developing A Dissociative Nanocontainer For Peptide Drug Delivery, Michael Patrick Kelly
Developing A Dissociative Nanocontainer For Peptide Drug Delivery, Michael Patrick Kelly
Dissertations, Theses, and Capstone Projects
The potency and specificity of bioactive peptides have propelled these agents to the forefront of pharmacological research. However, delivery of peptides to their molecular target in cells is a major obstacle to their widespread application. A Trojan Horse strategy of packaging a bioactive peptide within a modified protein cage to protect it during transport, and releasing it at the target site, is a promising delivery method. Recent work has demonstrated that the viral capsid of the P22 bacteriophage can be loaded with an arbitrary, genetically-encoded peptide, and externally decorated with a cell-penetrating peptide, such as HIV-Tat, to translocate across in …

Abstract
Development of Chloroquine-containing HPMA Copolymers for Drug Delivery
Fei Yu, Ph.D.
University of Nebraska Medical Center, 2018
Supervisor: David Oupický, Ph.D.
Synthetic polymers have been extensively explored for improved delivery of anticancer agents. Polymers can be designed as either carriers of existing drugs or as polymeric drugs with intrinsic pharmacological activity. Advantages of such polymeric drugs include common positive features of polymer-drug conjugates, such as targeted delivery of drugs, altered pharmacokinetic and biodistribution, improved drug safety, but also favorable pharmacological activities due to multivalent receptor-ligand interactions.
Chloroquine (CQ) and hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) are safe drugs that have been in clinical …
