Balocha hainana, a new idiocerine leafhopper species of the genus Balocha Distant from southern China (Hainan province), is described and illustrated. A key to the 3 Chinese genera of the tribe Megipocerini is provided. An image of the male adult and illustrations of the male genitalia are also given.

The world species of Bootanomyia Girault (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea, Torymidae) are reviewed. Nine species are transferred from Megastigmus to Bootanomyia as new combinations: B. almusiensis (Doğanlar, 1989), B. dorsalis (Fabricius 1789), B. dumicola (Boucek 1982), B. habui (Kamijo, 1962), B. maculipennis (Yasumatsu and Kamijo, 1979), B. nipponicus (Yasumatsu and Kamijo, 1979), B. stigmatizans (Fabricious 1789), B. synophri (Mayr 1874), and B. zhaoi (Xu & He, 2003). Megastigmus bohemanii Ratzeburg, 1848 is reinstated as a species from synonymy under M. dorsalis Fabricius and transferred to Bootanomyia as B. bohemanii (Ratzeburg, 1848) (comb. and status n.). Cerceis insolita n. sp. (Isopoda, Sphaeromatidae), from the rocky intertidal region of Manora Island, Karachi coast, Pakistan, is described. The species can be identified on the basis of the following characters: antenna 1, pleon, pleotelson, coxal plates, pleopods 4 and 5, and notably by the unusual female pereopod 1 merus being short, transversely expanded, with the distolateral angle laterally produced into circular structure; carpus short, transversely expanded, propodus stout, curved laterally, with convex medial and concave lateral margins, dactylus subtriangular, well-developed unguis and accessory unguis. A new species belonging to the genus Helochares Mulsant, 1844 (Coleoptera: Hydrophilidae) is described on the basis of a single male specimen collected in Ordu province, Turkey. The species is described and an identification key to the species of the Helochares lividus group is provided. In addition, Helochares pallens MacLeay, 1825 and Hydrobius convexus Brullé, 1835 are recorded in Turkey for the first time.

The species of Gugolzia (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea, Pteromalidae) in Europe and Turkey were reviewed, and an identification key for differentiating the species is provided. Newly discovered diagnostic characters of the genus were added to the diagnoses given by earlier authors. Species were recorded as parasitoids of phytophagous Eurytomidae (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea). New host and distributions are for Gugolzia harmolitae, which was reared from Tetramesa romana feeding on shoots of Arundo donax (Poaceae), Gugolzia karadagae n.sp. from Eurytoma plotnikovi feeding on fruits of Pistacia vera together with Megastigmus pistaciae (Chalcidoidea: Torymidae) in Gaziantep province, and Gugolzia melengicia n.sp. from fruits of Pistacia terebinthi …

Verdanus artvinensis n. sp. from northeastern Turkey is described and illustrated. The main characteristics of this species are compared with those of V. pazoukii (Dlabola, 1980), a closely related species. A key to distinguish these 2 species is provided.

Grandidierella trispinosa sp. nov., the first species of the genus Grandidierella Coutiére, 1904 from Pakistan, is described from specimens collected at Sandspit backwater, west of Karachi. The new species is illustrated and compared with allied species. The holotype is housed in the Marine Reference Collection and Resource Centre, University of Karachi.

A new species, Cryptognathus ayyildizi sp. nov. is described and illustrated. Raphignathus bathursti Meyer and Ryke, 1960 (Raphignathidae), and Cheylostigmaeus californicus Summers and Ehara, 1965 (Stigmaeidae) are redescribed, and are new records for the Turkish fauna. Their worldwide distribution is also given.

Two new Podagrionella Girault, 1913 (Hymenoptera: Torymidae: Podagrionini) species, Podagrionella eremiaphilae sp. nov. and P. konyaensis sp. nov., were collected from Konya and Şanlıurfa (Bozova) provinces and are described. The key to the Palearctic Podagrionella species was reorganized with the addition of the 2 new species. The diagnostic characters of the new species are given.

A New Species Of Terellia Robineau-Desvoidy (Diptera: Tephritidae) From Turkey, Murat Kütük

Terellia yukseli n. sp. was collected in Turkey from Centaurea urvillei DC. and is described, illustrated, and placed in the subgenus Cerajocera. Type locality is Niğde Sazlıca, and specimens were collected from Centaurea urvillei DC. This species is most similar to T. setifera Hendel and T. clarissima Korneyev in having entirely hyaline wing. It can be distinguished from other species of Terellia by the lack of wing spot pattern, the presence of a spinose antennal horn, and characteristic glans and aculeus. Photographs of the specimens and detailed illustrations of the genitalia structures are provided.

A new species of bufonid toad of the genus Melanophryniscus is described from a mountaintop that is part of the Serra do Mar in the northeastern State of Paraná, Brazil. Melanophryniscus alipioi sp. nov. is distinguished from other known species by its uniformly dark brown dorsal color and a unique breeding site. The new species reproduces in bromeliads, a reproductive mode previously unknown for this genus. This species might be susceptible to current habitat lost.

Some specimens of Torymidae (Hymenoptera: Chalcidoidea) were collected in Turkey, one of which belongs to Idarnotorymus Masi, 1916 (Torymidae: Toryminae) as a new species, I. burdurensis, and is described from Burdur province. The diagnostic characters of the genus and the new species are reviewed, and photographs and line drawings of I. burdurensis are presented.

Urfacus bozovaensis gen. et sp. nov. of the Entodontinae (Hymenoptera, Eulophidae) are described. The specimens were swept from a wheat field together with many specimens of Haplothrips tritici Kurdj. (Thysanoptera, Phleothripidae) in Bozova, Şanlıurfa, Turkey. The diagnostic characters of the taxa are illustrated and the taxonomic position of the genus and species is discussed.

A new trematode genus Astioglossimetra n. gen. has been erected to accommodate an undescribed species A. karachiensis n. gen., n. sp., from Chelonia mydas of the Karachi coast. The genus name refers to its relation to the genera Astiotrema Looss and Glossimetra Mehra of the family Plagiorchiidae and subfamily Astiotrematinae.
