The aim of the present study was to investigate the effects of gonadotrophin and Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) supplemented Synthetic Oviduct Fluid (SOF) and Ham's F-10 media on the in vitro maturation of cat oocytes. Oocytes collected from spayed stray queens served as the material of the study. The ovaries were brought to the laboratory within 2 h in PBS solution at 38 °C. In this study, the clinical signs of hepatorenal syndrome that occurs during hepatic cirrhosis were investigated and a variety of diagnosis and therapy methods were investigated in the experimentally ligated bile ducts of dogs. The test group with ligated bile ducts (n = 14) and the sham operated control group (n = 14) were divided into 2 sub groups and administered a derivative of spironalactone (Aldoctan® tablet), an antagonist of the aldosteron receptor, at 1.5 mg/kg daily for 5 weeks. The Asian Arowana (Scleropages /ormosusu) is a primitive freshwater fish form the Jurassic era. It is very hardy and can live a good half century. Its low fecundity rate (about 30 eggs per batch), coupled with habitat degradation, threaten the future survivability of this fish (Khan et al., 1996). It was once close to extinction. In this study, microsatellites were used to study the allele frequencies, heterozygosity as well as the genetic differences among varieties. This study examined the foraging ecology and habitat selection of the Western Yellow Robin in Wandoo Woodland at Dryandra Woodland, Western Australia. The foraging ecology component was comprised of an examination of foraging behaviour, perch-use selection and pounce-site characteristics. The habitat selection component was comprised of an examination of habitat characteristics of site occupancy and general nesting ecology. The implications of current management at Dryandra Woodland to the ecology of the Western Yellow Robin are discussed in reference to the findings of the present study.
