Composite flour blends prepared from cereals, millets, tubers, legumes, and vegetables have gained increasing attention due to their potential to enhance nutritional quality, improve functional properties, and support sustainable food systems. Previous studies have largely focused on individual nutritional or functional attributes, with limited integration of environmental and health perspectives. This review aimed to systematically analyze how composite flours simultaneously influence nutritional quality, functional performance, health relevance, and environmental sustainability within a unified analytical framework. Robotic development started billions of years after earth first began biological prototyping. While the evolutionary process in animals is quite different from robotic prototyping, it still remains no surprise that animals remain more agile, more efficient, and more adaptable than even the most advanced engineered robots to date, simply due to the sheer length of their improvement process. With the increasing global cancer burden in recent years, there is an urgency to develop novel chemotherapeutic agents. Transition metal complexes represent an attractive class of candidates, owing to their unique electronic and stereochemical properties, as well as their capacity for ligand exchange, redox activity, and catalytic reactivity. These characteristics enable cellular signalling mechanisms that lead to tumour cell cytotoxicity via regulated cell death (RCD) mechanisms. Current discussion surrounding the clinical capabilities of generative language models(GLMs) predominantly centers around multiple-choice question-answer(MCQA) benchmarks derived from clinical licensing examinations. While accepted for human examinees, characteristics unique to GLMs bring into question the validity of such benchmarks. Here, we validate five benchmarks using eight GLMs, ablating for parameter size and reasoning capabilities, validating via prompt permutation three key assumptions that underpin the generalizability of MCQA-based assessments: that knowledge is applied, not memorized, that semantic consistency will lead to consistent answers, and that situations with no answers can be recognized. In this study, the stability of a three-species food chain model comprising a prey, an intermediate specialist predator, and a top predator exhibiting generalist behavior is examined, with harvesting applied to the intermediate predator. The main objective is to investigate how variations in the harvesting rate influence system stability and the coexistence of all three species. The positivity, boundedness, and equilibrium points of the model are analyzed to ensure biological feasibility. The equilibrium point involving the prey and the top predator satisfies the criteria for both local and global asymptotic stability. Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) is a major threat to the global swine industry. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are emerging as crucial regulators of antiviral immunity, but their roles in porcine alveolar macrophages (PAMs)—the primary target of PRRSV—remain poorly characterized. This study presents a genome-wide analysis of lncRNA expression in PAMs stimulated with a PRRS modified live virus (MLV) vaccine and two type I interferons, IFN-α1 and IFN-ω5. Whole-transcriptome sequencing identified over 2000 differentially expressed lncRNAs, with IFN-ω5 inducing the most extensive transcriptional reprogramming. Toxoplasma gondii is a globally important zoonotic parasite, and maternal infection during pregnancy may cause miscarriage, congenital anomalies, or severe neonatal complications. This cross-sectional study was conducted among 367 pregnant women attending hospitals in District Dir Upper, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, to evaluate the seroprevalence of T. gondii and associated risk factors. Blood samples were analyzed using Immunochromatographic Test (ICT) for initial screening, and positive cases were confirmed by Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). Overall, 34.6 % (127/367) of women tested positive. A total of 240 cloacal and fecal swabs were collected from 25 avian species, including ducks, swans, geese, pheasants, guinea fowl, parrots, cranes, and crows. Samples were cultured on Sorbitol MacConkey Agar, and presumptive Escherichia coli isolates were confirmed using morphological, biochemical, and molecular methods. Shiga toxin–producing E. coli (STEC) was identified through PCR detection of stx1 and stx2 genes, followed by sequencing. Antibiotic susceptibility testing was performed using the Kirby–Bauer disc diffusion method against streptomycin, ceftriaxone, ciprofloxacin, azithromycin, and tetracycline. Only four STEC isolates were recovered, resulting in an overall prevalence of 1.66 % (4/240). Positive cases were detected …

Abstract
Aim: This study compared acute psychological responses to a single session of low-volume high-intensity interval exercise (HIIE-LV), high-volume highintensity interval exercise (HIIE-HV), and moderate-intensity continuous exercise (MICE) in people living with HIV, and healthy controls using a randomized, counterbalanced crossover design. Methods: The participants (people living with HIV, and healthy controls) completed three exercise sessions in randomized order: HIIE-HV (4 4 min at 80% of maximal power output [Wmax]), HIIE-LV (10 60 s at 90% Wmax), and MICE (30 min at 60% Wmax). Introduction: Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway activation contributes to tumorigenesis and chemo-resistance in SCLC, yet clinical attempts to target this pathway have been unsuccessful. TRAF2 and NCK-interacting protein kinase (TNIK), an essential nuclear activator of Wnt/β-catenin target genes, has not yet been validated as a viable therapeutic target in SCLC. Here, we validated that TNIK inhibition is a promising approach for personalized anticancer therapy in SCLC.

Background: Inhibitory control deficits are associated with cocaine use disorder (CUD) development and maintenance. Additionally, drug use and inhibitory control can be negatively affected by depressive symptoms, including somatic factors like sleep disturbance and fatigue.
Aim: The current study assessed the relationship between inhibitory control and depressive symptoms among individuals initiating CUD treatment. We examined associations among anti-saccade response inhibition performance, total scores on the Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II), and individual BDI-II items.

Purpose: To demonstrate the usage of a high energy electron beam symmetry measured at different collimator angles to detect jaws face angle misalignments on Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators (linac) during acceptance and commissioning processes.
Methods: During the linac acceptance, all beams were steered to a symmetric shape with the gantry and collimator at 0°. We noted that the symmetries of higher energies electrons (e.g., 16 MeV, 20 MeV) changed over 2% when measured with the collimator at 90° and/or 270° for two linacs commissioned within 5-months of each other. Misaligned applicators were ruled out as the cause of this issue. …

During February and/or March 2020-2025, various fishes were collected with a modified minnow trap and hoop nets from the White River drainage of the Black River at Black Rock, Lawrence County, Arkansas. This study endeavours to craft a potent topical facial mask using electrospun nanofibers. The nanofibers were carefully fabricated based on loading of N-acetylcysteine (NAC) onto electrospun marine collagen (MC), and poly (methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) nanofibers. Through precise adjustments of electrospinning parameters, a uniform array of nanoscale fibres with a smooth surface was achieved. The morphology and chemical structure configuration of nanofibers (NFs) were examined using SEM, FTIR, and XRD analyses. Background
LDL receptor related protein 1 (LRP1) is a major hepatic receptor involved in lipoprotein metabolism, protease degradation, transmembrane receptor modulation, and clearance of excess protein, such as Aβ. Decreased expression of LRP1 due to liver injury can impair receptor-mediated clearance, increasing Aβ availability in the periphery. We investigated the effects of hepato-specific silencing of LRP1 on Aβ deposition in the brain. Additionally, other LDL family members (LRP5, LRP6, and LDLR) that may participate in Aβ clearance were monitored in the liver to ensure non-compensatory effects of LRP1 silencing.

Genetic diversity of Manihot esculenta associated virus type 1 (MEaV-1) species suspected to cause the most destructive Brown Streak of Cassava (CBSD) in Tanzania, has remained elusive since the year 2020 when MY-6mb-4 virus isolate was first identified in Chambezi, Coast region. In this study, two additional isolates (CG-Nmb and CG-Kah) of the MEaV-1 species were characterized in the same area after screening leaf samples collected from 292 Kiroba, 12 Albert and 22 Kikombe varieties of cassava using a Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT- PCR) assay. Seagrasses are highly productive coastal ecosystems that harbor diverse bacterial communities, including both culturable and unculturable taxa. These bacteria play vital roles in ecological, biogeochemical, and biotechnological processes. In this study, a metagenomic approach using Pacific Biosciences next-generation sequencing was employed to investigate bacterial diversity associated with Thalassia hemprichii and Syringodium isoetifolium collected from the Mjimwema coast, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Results revealed that T. hemprichii supported greater bacterial species diversity (117 OTUs) compared to S. isoetifolium (109 OTUs). Despite this popularity and frequently reported cases of gastrointestinal illness, the microbial safety of these plastic- bagged products is not well-documented, posing a potential public health concern. Background: Neonatal germinal matrix hemorrhage-intraventricular hemorrhage and subsequent post-hemorrhagic hydrocephalus (PHH) is a leading cause of neurologic morbidity and mortality in preterm infants. Preclinical models of PHH have implicated hemoglobin and iron-mediated cellular injury in the pathogenesis of PHH, but have typically demonstrated a phenotype characterized by mild to moderate ventriculomegaly – the equivalent of which may not even require intervention in the human condition. This clinical trial investigated the effects of adding a Bacillus-based probiotic to the lactation diet of sows (without in-feed antibiotics) on maternal and piglet outcomes. A total of 109 Landrace × Yorkshire sows (parity 1–7) were assigned to either a control group (n = 61) or a treatment group (n = 48) receiving Bacillus subtilis – 541 and Bacillus amyloliquefaciens – 516. The ability of the black soldier fly (Hermetia illucens, BSF) to convert organic waste into biomass has been well reported. Drepanosticta berlandi is an endemic damselfly in the Lesser Sunda region of Indonesia, which was first recorded on Lombok Island in the 19th century. Albeit recognized for a century, information on its ecology is still lacking; hence, this study aims to reveal its distribution and habitat preferences. Cancer remains a major global health issue, and current therapies often lack efficacy and have severe adverse effects. Anticancer peptides (ACPs) have emerged as promising therapeutic agents due to their specific targeting mechanisms and minimal toxicity. This study aimed to identify novel ACPs from Cordyceps militaris through computational screening, evaluate their anticancer potential, predict their mechanisms of action through molecular docking, and analyze their pharmacokinetic profiles. In this study, we examine the influence of benthic coverage on fish diversity in coral reef ecosystems. Benthic and reef fish community surveys were conducted at 14 sites using underwater photographic transect and underwater visual census methods, respectively. Coral cover (26.1%) was found to be lower than turf algae cover (42.1%). A total of 56 fish species, comprised of 14 carnivores, 21 corallivores, and 21 herbivores, were recorded. The most widely distributed carnivore and herbivore species were Lethrinus harak and Ctenochaetus striatus, respectively.
