Abstract: To address the interference issues of different perspectives, complex backgrounds, and lighting intensity in vehicle re-identification caused by cross lens multi view differences, a vehicle reidentification network integrating global selection and local differentiation is proposed. Based on Resnet50 backbone network, a three-branch complementary network integrating global and local features is designed. Abstract: To address the shortcomings of current contactless delivery methods in the collaborative distribution of epidemic prevention supplies, we introduce a specialized model called the vehicle routing problem with drones considering zoned distribution (VRPD-ZD). In order to solve the problem, a linear programming model is established with the shortest delivery time as the optimization objective, and a two-stage heuristic algorithm is proposed. Abstract: In stage performances, the increasing number of mechanical props poses significant challenges to their control and design. Each creative modification requires a complete rehearsal, resulting in low efficiency and sensitivity to creative changes. To address these issues, a model for the collective performance behavior of mechanical props is proposed. It utilizes centroid growth and 3D linear interpolation to generate spatial states and optimizes them in the temporal dimension using gradient descent. Abstract: Inspired by the natural gait transition mechanism of quadruped animals, a multi-gait motion strategy is proposed to realize the stable and efficient motion of quadruped robots on different terrains in response to the trade-off between motion energy efficiency and motion stability. Advancements in additive manufacturing and robotic automation have enabled diverse fabrication techniques using various materials. However, small-scale tape placement for three-dimensional (3D) printing remains underexplored, with most research focused on large-scale composite manufacturing using carbon fiber prepreg tapes. This work presents an innovative, automated, and cost-effective tape placement system that extends traditional methods beyond carbon fiber prepreg. We developed a customized tape print module (TPM) integrated with a robotic arm, enabling precise and versatile tape placements. Experimentally, the mode I delamination behavior of unidirectional glass/epoxy composites at quasi-static displacement rates of 1, 3, and 5 is explored. When comparing the variation between fracture toughness GIC values at 1 mm/min and GIC at 3 mm/min, the average variation is 30% increasing. However, the average variance in GIC between 3 mm/min and 5 mm/min is increasing by 11%. As a result, the crack propagation velocity has a noticeable effect on the value of GIC at lower speeds and a limited effect at higher speeds. Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) systems face challenges in channel estimation due to noise, variability, and the doubly dispersive nature of wireless channels, which degrade performance. To address these challenges, a multichannel minimum variance double dispersive channel estimator is proposed. The method employs a hybrid approach that combines subspace and minimum variance techniques, optimizing the filter bank output power under a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) constraint. Nonconvex Optimization Methods Under Inexact Information, Dat Ba Tran

This thesis focuses on the design and convergence analysis of algorithms for solving nonconvex optimization problems under inexact first-order information. We introduce Inexact Reduced Gradient (IRG) methods for general smooth functions and Inexact Gradient Descent (IGD) methods for $\mathcal{C}^{1,1}_L$ functions with relative and absolute errors. Additionally, we develop Inexact Proximal Point and Inexact Proximal Gradient methods for weakly convex functions. Our methods improve the performance of standard inexact proximal point methods, inexact proximal gradient methods, and inexact augmented Lagrangian methods by approximately 2.5 to 10 times in terms of iteration complexity for image processing tasks. Crime reduction remains a global priority, demanding both accurate modeling of criminal dynamics and efficient allocation of scarce policing resources. To address these needs, this study presents a two‐fold framework that (1) simulates street‐level crime patterns using an agent‐based model (ABM) grounded in Routine Activity Theory (RAT), Rational Choice Theory (RCT), and Crime Pattern Theory (CPT), and (2) optimizes patrol routing through a time-dependent, multi‐visit mixed‐integer linear programming (MILP) formulation.

This study focused on the attitudes toward security recommendations as determinants of compliance with these recommendations in the workplace. It aimed to determine whether attitudes toward an overall concept (security recommendations in organizations) are associated with Information Security (IS) actions. We also examined the relationship between various dimensions of attitudes toward security recommendations and IS actions that follow these recommendations. We conducted a national survey of American workers. Six hundred and eighty-two responses were retained.
