The effective removal of free chlorine ions from industrial wastewater is critical to ensure process safety, minimize equipment corrosion, and protect aquatic environments. In this study, a laboratory-scale activated carbon filtration system was developed and tested to treat chlorine-contaminated water collected from sludge collectors at industrial facilities. A total of 200 experimental trials were conducted under varied operational conditions, including changes in flow rate, initial chlorine concentration, pressure, pH, temperature, and activated carbon dosage. The resulting dataset was used to train a predictive model based on a feedforward backpropagation artificial neural network (ANN) implemented in MATLAB. The ANN model demonstrated …

Currently, Geita Gold Mine (GGM) relies on electrical energy from the national grid and diesel power generators to generate electricity for various industrial applications. The plant currently spends a large amount of money on generating power from diesel generators. The total annual cost of power generation from diesel generators including lubricants is USD 56,057,990. The total annual fuel cost is USD 53,531,805 for a total of 54,985,473 liters per year. Most of the power generated by the generators is consumed in the industrial thermal processes. This article examines the process of drying garlic using a low-temperature vibratory-convective drying system. At the "Service Technology" department of Tashkent State Technical University, a vibratory dryer was developed to ensure high-quality drying of garlic while maximizing the preservation of its biologically active compounds. Through experimental studies, optimal drying parameters were determined, including the degree of moisture removal, process duration, airflow velocity, and vibration acceleration. The results obtained contribute to enhancing the efficiency and quality of garlic drying, which holds practical significance for agricultural producers and consumers interested in healthy nutrition.

This paper analyzes the effectiveness of Random Forest and SVM models for detecting HTTP Flood attacks. Experimental results demonstrate that both models achieve high accuracy. Evaluation was conducted using Precision, Recall, and F1 Score metrics. Additionally, key features of network traffic were extracted through correlation analysis to enable real-time application of the models in attack detection. The findings provide important insights into detecting DDoS attacks using machine learning and improving model performance.

This article presents the results of research on the recycling of spent zinc adsorbents formed during the ammonia production process, aimed at obtaining zinc chloride (ZnCl₂), which can be utilized in various industrial sectors, including electroplating. The research covers the optimization of technological parameters such as hydrochloric acid concentration, temperature, and reaction time to efficiently extract zinc chloride. The experiments revealed that the best results are achieved by using a 20% hydrochloric acid solution, at a temperature of 60°C, with a reaction time of 60 minutes. This article investigates the dynamic characteristics of a time-pulsed ultrasonic sensor used to measure water flow in open channels. The operating principle of the sensor, its response time in various hydrodynamic conditions, speed, and factors affecting measurement accuracy are analyzed. In the process of research, the improved ultrasonic sensor was tested and its effectiveness in measuring water flow in real time was evaluated. The results obtained showed that the sensor adapts to the velocity, temperature and turbulence level of the water flow. This article discusses the methodology of automated management of situations in structurally complex systems with recycled flows. The need to develop a correct model for effectively controlling such systems based on scientific principles of analysis and decision-making is substantiated. Particular attention is paid to modeling, optimizing, and using digital technologies, including artificial intelligence, to improve the accuracy and efficiency of management decisions. The principles of decomposition, multi-criteria optimization, and linguistic models of fuzzy correspondence are described, which can be used in conditions of uncertainty and complexity of industrial facilities.

The issues of constructing an adaptive joint estimation of the state and parameters of dynamic control objects using the Maine estimator are considered. There are various variants of the extended filter, and a variant based on iterations between parameter and state estimates was used in the work. This paper presents a chemical and X-ray diffraction study of the solid fraction obtained from the thermal-oxidative pyrolysis of waste tires. The study covers the analysis of the composition of rubber products before and after pyrolysis at a temperature of 750-850 °C. A chemical analysis of the gaseous, liquid and solid phases of pyrolysis products was also carried out. The ignition temperatures of gaseous products, their percentage content, as well as the optimal boiling temperatures of the resulting condensates were determined. This study explores the application of an Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) for controlling wastewater treatment processes using ion-exchange resins. It addresses the critical challenges of water scarcity and pollution by enhancing the regulation of water hardness (H) and Total Dissolved Solids (TDS). Using a pilot laboratory device and experimental data from the mixed wastewater of the Kungrad Soda Plant in Uzbekistan, an ANFIS model was developed in MATLAB to automate process control. This article discusses methods of low capacitance measurement of capacitive sensors. The results of the study of the amplitude-frequency (AF) and phase-frequency (PF) response of measurement circuits of capacitive sensors for low capacitances measurement, consisting of RC - differentiating elements are presented. The input and output parameters of the differentiating circuit and the complex transfer function are analyzed. The research results show that low capacitances measurement by measuring the rectangular pulses duration is the most effective measurement method.
