Urban traffic congestion at signalized intersections poses significant challenges, with queue spillback events worsening delays, fuel consumption, and environmental impacts. This study addresses the critical issue of oversaturation at the Rama 4 intersection in Bangkok, where closely spaced intersections intensify congestion, leading to prolonged queues and inefficient green phase utilization. Traditional fixed-time signal controls lack the flexibility to adapt to fluctuating traffic volumes, emphasizing the need for an innovative approach. As Phnom Penh experiences rapid population growth and economic expansion, traffic congestion has worsened, largely due to the increasing ownership of private motorcycles. Despite the introduction of public bus services, adoption remains low as concerns over service quality, limited coverage, and inadequate infrastructure deter motorcycle users from making the shift. This study investigates the behavioral intentions, preferences, and concerns of motorcycle users, specifically targeting university students, to understand how public bus services can be improved to encourage adoption. การเพิ่มขึ้นของอุณหภูมิโลกที่เพิ่มขึ้นในทุกปี อันเนื่องมาจากภาวะโลกร้อน มีผลกระทบสำคัญต่อรางรถไฟ โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในฤดูร้อน เมื่ออุณหภูมิสูงขึ้น เหล็กที่เป็นวัสดุของรางรถไฟจะดูดซับความร้อน ซึ่งส่งผลให้รางรถไฟขยายตัว ทำให้เกิดการเคลื่อนที่ทางด้านข้าง และเกิดการโก่งเดาะ ซึ่งนำไปสู่การตกรางของรถไฟได้ในที่สุด ในงานวิจัยฉบับมุ่งเน้นจะไปที่การเคลื่อนตัวทางด้านข้างของหมอนรองรางรถไฟ โดยศึกษาการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพในการต้านการเคลื่อนที่ทางด้านข้าง เมื่อเปลี่ยนสภาพของใต้หมอนรองรางรถไฟ และทำการประยุกต์ใช้แผ่นยางรองหมอนรองรางรถไฟ กับโครงสร้างทางรถไฟแบบมีชั้นหินโรยทาง ซึ่งแผ่นยางมีจุดเด่นสำหรับการลดการสั่นสะเทือนต่อชั้นหินโรยทางและกระจายแรงสู่ชั้นหินโรยทาง ในส่วนของประสิทธิภาพในการรับแรงทางด้านข้างนั้นยังไม่มีการศึกษามากเท่าที่ควร และทำการจำลองสภาวะที่ใต้หมอนรองรางมีพื้นผิวขรุขระ รวมถึงปฏิสัมพันธ์กับชั้นหินโรยทาง ผ่านการใช้ Discrete element method (DEM) สำหรับการจำลองสภาพของหินโรยทางรถไฟและการทดสอบ Single sleeper push test (SSPT) ในงานวิจัยนี้จึงจำลองโครงสร้างทางรถไฟแบบมีชั้นหินโรยทาง โดยใช้ Rocky DEM เป็นเครื่องมือในศึกษาการเปลี่ยนแปลงของสภาพใต้หมอนรองรางรถไฟต่อการเคลื่อนตัวทางด้านข้างของรางรถไฟแบบเดี่ยว โดยไม่ได้มีผลของสิ่งรอบข้างที่มีอิทธิพลต่อหมอนรองราง และนำมาปรับใช้เป็นแนวทางในการศึกษาเพิ่มเติม ในหัวข้อที่มีความเกี่ยวข้องต่อไป งานวิจัยนี้จะช่วยในการวางแผนการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพของทางรถไฟแบบมีหินโรยทาง และปูพื้นฐานสำหรับการศึกษาต่อไปสำหรับการริเริ่มการใช้แผ่นรองใต้หมอนรองรางรถไฟ

สะพานเป็นโครงสร้างพื้นฐานที่มีความสำคัญและเป็นส่วนหลักในการคมนาคมของประเทศต่าง ๆ ทั่วโลกเป็นระยะเวลายาวนานจึงมีความเป็นไปได้ที่จะเกิดความเสียหายหรือชำรุดทรุดโทรม ระบบติดตามคุณภาพสะพานจึงถูกคิดค้นและนำมาใช้งานเพื่อตรวจสอบความผิดปกติของโครงสร้าง หนึ่งในระบบติดตามคุณภาพสะพานที่น่าสนใจคือการติดตั้งอุปกรณ์วัดมุมเอียงที่ใช้หลักการวัดมุมเอียงของโครงสร้างสะพาน โดยผู้วิจัยในอดีตได้มีการเสนอระเบียบวิธีที่ใช้ตรวจสอบและติดตามรอยร้าวที่เกิดบนโครงสร้างสะพานโดยใช้การทดสอบน้ำหนักบรรทุก ซึ่งแม้ว่าระเบียบวิธีดังกล่าวจะถูกพิสูจน์ว่าสามารถใช้งานได้ผ่านการใช้แบบจำลองไฟไนต์เอลิเมนต์ การทดสอบในห้องปฏิบัติการเพื่อประเมินและติดตั้งเพื่อประเมินสะพานจริง ๆ พบว่าเมื่อเกิดรอยร้าวขนาดเล็กระเบียบวิธีดังกล่าวจะไม่สามารถระบุตำแหน่งของรอยร้าวนั้นได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ที่สำคัญการทดสอบโดยใช้น้ำหนักบรรทุกจำเป็นต้องปิดการใช้งานสะพานชั่วคราวซึ่งใช้ทรัพยากรทั้งเวลาและค่าใช้จ่ายเพิ่มเติม ดังนั้นงานวิจัยนี้จึงมีจุดประสงค์เพื่อเสนอระเบียบวิธีใหม่สำหรับติดตามรอยร้าวบนโครงสร้างสะพานโดยวิเคราะห์จากผลตอบสนองเนื่องจากน้ำหนักของโครงสร้างสะพานเองเพื่อคำนวณค่าดัชนีรอยร้าวซึ่งถูกเสนอขึ้นในการศึกษานี้ ทั้งนี้ค่าดัชนีรอยร้าวจะคำนวณจากมุมเอียงของโครงสร้างสะพานในสภาวะตั้งต้นเทียบกับสภาวะที่สะพานเกิดการแตกร้าวโดยมีการพิจารณาความละเอียดของอุปกรณ์วัดมุมเอียงที่ใช้ติดตั้งที่แตกต่างกันที่มีอยู่ในปัจจุบัน อาศัยการจำลองรอยร้าวด้วยแบบจำลองไฟไนต์เอลิเมนต์ในงานวิจัยนี้แสดงให้เห็นว่าระเบียบวิธีดังกล่าวเมื่อใช้ร่วมกับดัชนีรอยร้าวสามารถพัฒนาระบบติดตามสภาพสะพานให้สามารถตรวจสอบรอยร้าวที่อาจเกิดขึ้นระหว่างการใช้งานได้อย่างสะดวกและมีประสิทธิภาพโดยอาศัยเพียงน้ำหนักของตัวสะพานเอง

งานวิจัยเกี่ยวกับการนำวัสดุเหลือทิ้งมาพัฒนาสมบัติทางวิศวกรรมเพื่อเป็นทางเลือกในอุตสาหกรรมการก่อสร้าง นอกจากจะเป็นการลดต้นทุนการก่อสร้างและเพิ่มมูลค่าให้กับวัสดุเหลือทิ้งแล้วนั้น ยังส่งผลดีต่อสิ่งแวดล้อมด้วย ดังเช่น ดินตะกอนกว๊านพะเยา และเปลือกข้าวโพด ซึ่งจัดว่าเป็นวัสดุเหลือทิ้งและมีจำนวนมากในพื้นที่จังหวัดพะเยา การกองเก็บและการกำจัดวัสดุดังกล่าวก่อให้เกิดปัญหาทางสิ่งแวดล้อมอย่างมาก งานวิจัยนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาพฤติกรรมแรงอัดแกนเดี่ยว พฤติกรรมแรงดึงทางอ้อม และ พฤติกรรมแรงดัดของดินตะกอนกว๊านพะเยาผสมปูนซีเมนต์ที่เสริมเส้นใยข้าวโพด โดยทําการทดสอบกําลังอัดแกนเดี่ยวที่ปริมาณปูนซีเมนต์ร้อยละ 7 ปริมาณเส้นใยร้อยละ 0.5 1.0 และ 2.0 โดยน้ำหนักของดินแห้ง และความยาวเส้นใย 10 20 และ 40 มิลลิเมตร ตามลำดับ ที่อายุการบ่ม 7และ 28 วัน ผลการทดสอบพบว่าการเพิ่มเส้นใยช่วยเปลี่ยนพฤติกรรมเปราะของตัวอย่างดินตะกอนกว๊านพะเยาผสมปูนซีเมนต์ ให้เป็นพฤติกรรมเหนียวและช่วยลดการสูญเสียกําลังหลังจากกําลังรับแรงสูงสุด ท้ายสุดของงานวิจัยนี้จะนำเสนออัตราส่วนและความยาวที่เหมาะสมของเส้นใยข้าวโพดสำหรับนำไปใช้ในงานวิศวกรรม

Internal erosion often occurs in earthen water-retaining structures such as embankment dams, levees, and dikes. This erosion is caused by seepage flows through soils or other porous materials containing a mixture of coarse and fine particles. The internal erosion process, also known as suffusion, involves the transport of fine particles carried away from the soil structure by seepage. Internal erosion can weaken the soil, create voids or cavities, and ultimately lead to structural collapse, posing a significant risk to earthen water-retaining structures. การก่อสร้างโครงการรถไฟฟ้าที่ผ่านมามักประสบปัญหาความล่าช้า ส่งผลกระทบต่อผู้รับจ้าง ประชาชนที่สัญจร และผู้พักอาศัยใกล้โครงการ ปัจจัยเสี่ยงที่ส่งผลต่อผลิตภาพและระยะเวลาก่อสร้างรถไฟฟ้ารางเดี่ยวมีลักษณะคล้ายโครงสร้างพื้นฐานด้านการขนส่งอื่นๆ โดยที่สภาพแวดล้อมของโครงการก่อสร้างมีความเป็นพลวัตค่อนข้างสูง (Highly dynamic environment) เนื่องจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงของสภาพพื้นที่และปัจจัยเสี่ยงในช่วงการก่อสร้างโครงการ งานวิจัยนี้ศึกษาการประยุกต์ใช้ตัวแบบพลวัตระบบ (System dynamics) และการจัดการป้อนกลับ (Management feedback) หรือการแทรกแซงของผู้บริหาร (Management intervention) ในการบริหารความเสี่ยงที่ส่งผลต่อผลิตภาพ (Productivity) และระยะเวลา (Time) ของกิจกรรมงานก่อสร้างรถไฟฟ้ารางเดี่ยว (Straddle Monorail) โดยใช้ข้อมูลจากการสัมภาษณ์ผู้เกี่ยวข้องในโครงการและการสังเกตจากพื้นที่ปฏิบัติงานจริงในโครงการรถไฟฟ้ารางเดี่ยวสายสีชมพู ช่วงแคราย-มีนบุรี รวมถึงส่วนต่อขยายเมืองทองธานี ตัวแบบที่พัฒนาขึ้นใช้โปรแกรม VenSim PLE เพื่อวิเคราะห์ระยะเวลาการดำเนินการก่อสร้างของกิจกรรมหลักในเส้นทางวิ่ง พร้อมทั้งจัดลำดับความเสี่ยงจากการวิเคราะห์ความอ่อนไหว (Sensitivity analysis) นอกจากนี้ ยังเสนอค่าเผื่อเวลาในการทำงานที่รวมปัจจัยเสี่ยง (Time risk factor) ซึ่งมีค่าประมาณ 1.42 โดยค่าที่ได้สามารถนำไปประกอบการจัดการความเสี่ยงของโครงการที่มีบริบทการก่อสร้างคล้ายคลึงกัน หรือเพื่อการวางแผนด้านเวลาที่สอดคล้องกับปัจจัยเสี่ยงของโครงการและความมีสภาพแวดล้อมของโครงการก่อสร้างแบบมีความเป็นพลวัติสูง

This article evaluates the infrastructure development plans in Zambia's newly established districts, primarily focusing on assessing their effectiveness. Infrastructure development encompasses various strategies, and this study investigates the factors influencing the selection of these strategies for implementing infrastructure projects in Zambia. Through structured interviews and questionnaires distributed to 500 respondents, the research highlights the critical role of community involvement. Construction organizations are moving toward adopting digitalization in response to Industry 4.0. However, the slow adoption of digitalization has been observed. This study aimed to assess the level of digitalization adoption and evaluate the barriers to adopting digitalization in the Jordanian construction industry by all project parties in the public and private sectors. The study targets were achieved through a structured questionnaire using SPSS software for analysis through the following statistical tests: Normality test, Mann-Whitney U, Kruskal-Wallis H, and Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA). Self-consolidating concrete (SCC) is a relatively new concrete technology which allows the concrete to be placed without the need for manual or machine vibration. This innovation reduces labor costs, construction times, and can provide a smooth, finished surface. However, this technology is used in the United States primarily in the precast and prestressed concrete industry. There currently exists a significant amount of uncertainty when designing piles for bridge foundations in liquefiable soil. Currently ARDOT engineers use a Standard Penetration Test (SPT) based liquefaction spreadsheet developed 10 years ago to evaluate liquefaction triggering. Since this spreadsheet was developed, updates to the liquefaction triggering procedures have been published making the spreadsheet out-of-date. Moreover, additional methods of liquefaction evaluation using cone penetration test (CPT) and shear wave velocity (Vs) provide added means of evaluating liquefaction potential. Since the 1970s, South Carolina has employed open graded friction courses (OGFC) on high-speed asphalt roadways to enhance wet weather safety. While these mixes have indeed enhanced safety, they still grapple with durability issues, particularly concerning raveling. This research aimed to assess the prolonged performance of OGFC pavements in South Carolina, with a specific emphasis on isolated raveling occurrences.
