Study Of The Rheological Properties Of The Suspension Formed During The Production Of Caustic Soda By The Lime Method, Aktam Ulashovich Erkaev, Dildora Tursunova

Chemical Technology, Control and Management

The process of obtaining sodium hydroxide - caustic soda by conversion of soda ash with lime milk in the presence of natural mirabilite - has been investigated. The influence of temperature, Na2CO3: Na2SO4 ratio, concentration of lime milk and duration of the conversion process on this process was studied by identifying their optimal values. The study of the rheological properties of the reaction pulp showed that it is mobile and well filtered, which makes it possible to obtain rapidly settling large crystals of Na2CO3·2Na2SO4, Na …

Study Of Rheological Properties Of Solutions And Pulp During Dicalcium Phosphate Formation Process, Navruzbek Ibraimovich Khurramov, Tulkin Isamurodovich Nurmurodov, Nilufar Negboevna Bozorova, Zarifa Umarovna Karimova Jul 2020

Study Of Rheological Properties Of Solutions And Pulp During Dicalcium Phosphate Formation Process, Navruzbek Ibraimovich Khurramov, Tulkin Isamurodovich Nurmurodov, Nilufar Negboevna Bozorova, Zarifa Umarovna Karimova

Chemical Technology, Control and Management

This article presents the rheological properties of suspensions obtained on the basis of nitric acid decomposition of unfired phosphorites of the Central Kyzylkum, as well as the chemical compositions of dicalcium phosphate and solid residues after the filtration process. The mass-spectral analysis of the pure dicalcium phosphate salt obtained by ammonization of the liquid part separated from the solid residue and subjected to filtration was studied.

A Study On The Heavy Crude Oil Viscosity Reduction With The Dissolution Of Nitrogen And Carbon Dioxide, Abdurahman Ajumobi Jan 2015

A Study On The Heavy Crude Oil Viscosity Reduction With The Dissolution Of Nitrogen And Carbon Dioxide, Abdurahman Ajumobi

Dissertations and Theses

World's energy challenges would be greatly improved upon if half of the world's heavy oil and extra heavy oil could be made to ow in pipelines. Viscosity reduction of heavy oils is the key to solving this problem. In this study, aside from injecting pure nitrogen and pure carbon dioxide separately into the oil, two different compositions of the mixture of the two gases were also injected. In the first mixture, varied quantities of the two gases were used; 62:5%, 82:2% and 86:4% of the mixture was nitrogen while 37:5%, 17:8% and 13:6% was carbon dioxide at total test pressures …

Stability Of Aqueous Dispersions Of Titanium Dioxide Against Sedimentation And Aggregation, Guanrong Bai, Xilan Zhu, Elias I. Franses, David S. Corti, Yung-Jih Yang Aug 2014

Stability Of Aqueous Dispersions Of Titanium Dioxide Against Sedimentation And Aggregation, Guanrong Bai, Xilan Zhu, Elias I. Franses, David S. Corti, Yung-Jih Yang

The Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) Symposium

Particles of titanium dioxide (TiO2) are widely used as white pigments in paints and inks, due to their brightness and high refractive index. Yet, with TiO2 having a high density (4.2 g/cm3), particles with typical sizes of 300 nm sediment rapidly even before significant agglomeration can occur. Thus, increasing the stability of TiO2 dispersions against sedimentation as well as aggregation is important. We studied the effect of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), a commonly used dispersant, on the stability of aqueous dispersions of TiO2 with weight fractions from 0.01 to 40. The sedimentation time of …
