Abstract: Aiming at large fluctuations of intermission and low prediction accuracy in iron and steel industry, based on the classification of intermission characteristics, a converter gas generation predicting model(CPSO-Elman) based on Elman neural network(ENN) optimized by chaotic PSO(CPSO) algorithm is proposed. The intermittent characteristics of converter gas generation time series are extracted and raw data is classified according to intermittent duration. The PSO algorithm improved by chaotic disturbance is introduced to optimize the initial weight and threshold of ENN and inertia weight of nonlinear updating is designed to balance global search ability and local search ability. We report the development of an experimentally-validated computational fluid dynamics (CFD) model for simulation of an anhydrous HCl electrolyzer. The experimental data from 3 membrane variants was used to provide kinetic and membrane parameters for the model. The model not only accurately simulates overall electrolyzer performance, but it also provides key insights into the transport phenomena within the electrolyzer. The model allows simulation of experimental parameters like high HCl flowrates and increased cell pressure that pose a high safety risk to researchers. A method of classifying terrain, terrain activity and materials through panchromatic imagery a module programmed to provide such classification and aerospace vehicles comprising such module is provided. Panchromatic images of known materials terrains and terrain activities are taken and processed to form a multiband texture cube, that due it amount of data, is stored as a computer data base. New panchromatic images of unclassified materials, terrains and/or terrain activities are processed and compared via computer with such database that allows for inexpensive, quick and efficient classification of such new images.

Deep generative models (DGMs) have tremendous potential for several biomedical imaging applications such as data augmentation, image reconstruction, and image denoising. However, the deployment of DGMs in real-world biomedical imaging workflows without domain-relevant evaluations can jeopardize patient health and well-being. This paper proposes a control strategy for grid-following inverter control and grid-forming inverter control developed for a Solar Photovoltaic (PV)–battery-integrated microgrid network. A grid-following (GFL) inverter with real and reactive power control in a solar PV-fed system is developed; it uses a Phase Lock Loop (PLL) to track the phase angle of the voltages at the PCC and adopts a vector control strategy to adjust the active and reactive currents that are injected into the power grid. This article provides a tool for analyzing mechanisms that aim to achieve resilience against stealthy, or undetectable, attacks on cyber-physical systems. We consider attackers who are able to corrupt all of the inputs and outputs of the system. To counter such attackers, a response scheme must be implemented that keeps the attacker from corrupting the inputs and outputs of the system for certain periods of time. This paper details the development of a finite-state, dynamic wake model for the purpose of modeling a helicopter rotor reentering its own wake. This model stems directly from both the Peters-Morillo wake model to determine the velocity field on and above the helicopter rotor and the Peters-Fei model to compute the velocity field below the rotor. The specific case of nonzero net thrust was evaluated under assumptions of axial flow and potential flow theory. This research delves into the significant impact of varying thicknesses of the Al2O3 passivation layer on the thermal stability and crystalline quality of GaN on Si structures, an essential aspect for the next generation of high-temperature electronic and optoelectronic devices. This paper explores the potential of a new source of fly ash, deposited on the site of a coalfired power plant in Ireland dating from 1985 to 1995, as a cement replacement material. A series of X-ray diffraction (XRD) analyses on binder samples with cement replacement levels of 0, 10, 25 and 35% was undertaken to determine the fly ash’s mineralogical composition and to determine its suitability as a supplemental cementitious material (SCM). Metal matrix composite (MMC) with 7xxx aluminum matrix is potential for ballistic applications due to the combination of strength, toughness, and light weight. Previous study successfully produced aluminum-based composites with SiC particles which were able to stop type III bullet, however cracks remained on back of the plate. Therefore, in this research, SiC was replaced by zirconia (ZrO2) due to its high fracture toughness. Drug Repurposing Uses Approved Drugs as Candidate Anticancer Therapeutics, Harnesses Previous Research and Development Efforts, and Benefits from Available Clinically Suitable Formulations and Evidence of Patient Tolerability. in This Work, the Drug Used Clinically to Treat Chronic Alcoholism, Disulfiram (DSF), Was Studied for its Antitumor Efficacy in a Copper-Dependent Manner. the Combination of DSF and Copper Could Achieve a Tumor Cell Growth Inhibition Effect Comparable to Those of 5-Fluorouracil and Taxol on Head and Neck Cancer Cells. Both Bulk Dendrimer Hydrogel and Microsized Dendrimer Hydrogel Particles Were Utilized for the Localized Sustained Release of Copper in the Tumor Site. the …
