Abstract: A multi-objective dynamic flexible job shop scheduling problem model with machine breakdown and random jobs arrival is constructed to address the interference of dynamic events in manufacturing processing on the scheduling scheme, and a real-time scheduling method with multiobjective proximal policy optimization (MPPO) algorithm is proposed. The MPPO algorithm trains two agents, routing agent (RA) and sequencing agent (SA), for real-time scheduling and real-time processing of dynamic events. It employs a linear combination of weight vectors and reward vectors as reward signals and stores the agents' parameters for each weight vector to optimize multiple objectives. Abstract: The angle search algorithm for angle-controlled robots is proposed to increase the path search speed and optimize the path length. The algorithm effectively finds a path in static surroundings by performing an efficient search in a specific dimensional range based on the position of the robot and the target point. Firstly, search angles are predetermined according to the characteristics of the environment in the grid map. Then, the estimated angle of the robot's surrounding grid is computed. Abstract: In view of the current high incidence of human-to-human infectious viruses, a multi-agent simulation and deduction model was proposed and designed based on the random characteristics of virus transmission variation and the influence of population crossover activity. The external pathogenicity and infectious characteristics of the virus and the external activities and immune characteristics of the human were quantified, and the interdependence and confrontation process between the virus and the human were modeled. There are 574 federally recognized tribes in the United States, and these tribal communities differ by culture, language, history, and self-governance. Performing a tribal construction project is different than a non-tribal project due to tribal sovereignty, tribes are both legally and regulatory independent. Access to sustainable drinking water is a concern across the globe. Atmospheric water harvest (AWH) offers a potential supplemental drinking water source. However, the sources and processes affecting AWH water quality are not well understood and must be thoroughly studied to consistently utilize AWH for drinking water. Laser Guide Star (LGS) systems are essential for adaptive optics in ground-based astronomical observation. This dissertation demonstrates the feasibility of semiconductor-based LGS systems using the membrane external-cavity surface-emitting laser (MECSEL) platform, employing multiple quantum wells. Various laser cavity configurations were analyzed through simulations and experiments. The in-well pumping method was explored to reduce the quantum defect and address thermal limitations. Multi-pass pumping schemes were designed with Zemax modeling and demonstrated experimentally. To simplify multi-pass pumping, the hybrid-MECSEL (H-MECSEL) design was introduced. COMSOL modeling studied thermal management and thermal lensing effect.

Complex systems are comprised of different components. Interactions and associations among these components define the functionality of the system. For example, T cells must directly interact with virally infected cells to kill them. This research characterizes the most relevant components of complex systems by analyzing interacting relationships using information theoretic measures. It emphasizes the importance of spatial and temporal dynamics, which occur when components share spatial proximities or temporal sequences. In this study, closed loop chilldown experiments are performed on a 0.009525 m outer diameter SS-316 tube of length 0.6 m and thickness 0.001651 m in a horizontal flow configuration with PF-5060 as the working fluid. The challenges associated with the development of a closed loop chilldown test section in comparison with conventional open loop cryogenic chilldown experiments are discussed and the methods to overcome this are presented. Infusion-related iatrogenic retinal breaks (IRBs) are a significant complication in vitrectomies, particularly when smaller-gauge cannulas are used during fluid infusion. Using two-dimensional finite element analysis (FEA), we analyzed forces exerted on the retina from different cannulas: traditional 25-gauge, 20-gauge, 23-gauge, and 27-gauge, then investigated four alternative new cannula designs: (A) oblique orifices, (B) external obstruction, (C) side ports, and (D) perpendicular orifices. The analysis revealed that the standard 25-gauge cannula had a force of 0.546 milli-Newtons (mN). Optimized cannulas demonstrated decreased forces: 0.072 mN (A), 0.266 mN (B), 0.417 mN (C), and 0.117 mN (D). While all the designs decrease …

تعتبر المبانى العالية أحد أقل أنماط المبانى توافقاً مع البيئة والمناخ، وذلك بسبب إنعزالها عن النسيج العمرانى المحيط وتعرضها للعديد من العوامل المناخية بشكل أكبر من المبانى المنخفضة، لذا يعتبر الغلاف الخارجى هو العنصر الأهم فى تصميم المبنى العالي لكونه بمثابة الجدار الفاصل بين البيئة الخارجية ذات الظروف المناخية القاسية وبين البيئة الداخلية التى يجب الوصول فيها لراحة المستخدم الحرارية، حيث يعد الغلاف الخارجى هو المسئول عن ما يقرب من 60% من إجمالى الطاقة التى يستهلكها المبنى العالى وذلك فى أعمال التبريد والتهوية الصناعية [1].
