Effect Of Temperature On Physicochemical Properties Of Plasticized Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose K100–Carbopol 934 Films Containing Propylene Glycol As Plasticizer, Braja Bihari Panda, Rudra Narayan Sahoo, Amit Kumar Nayak
Makara Journal of Science
This paper studies the effect of different temperatures on different important physicochemical characteristics of plasti-cized hydroxypropyl methylcellulose (HPMC) K100-Carbopol 934 films containing propylene glycol (as a plasticizer), such as the rheology, thickness, folding endurance, tensile strength, elongation, and in vitro swelling with diffusion ki-netics. Rheology of HPMC K100-Carbopol 934 blend dispersions containing propylene glycol (before film casting) demonstrates that the flow is shear thinning and pseudoplastic. In the study of in vitro swelling, the relaxation-controlled transport is the predominant process of solvent diffusion into these plasticized HPMC K100–Carbopol 934 blend films under study. The results suggest that the solvent transport …

Iraqi Journal for Computer Science and Mathematics
Artificial intelligence, especially in the field of ``deep learning'', is still promising when it comes to skin cancer detection and diagnosis. Among deep learning algorithms, convolutional neural networks (CNNs) give a high level of accuracy in identifying and classifying different types of skin cancer. CNNs have a strong coordination due to understanding the important features from medical images that are extracted from convolutional layers. However, there is still a problem which is the high imbalance in the dataset with high noise in the images. This paper presents a new solution that combines different architectural structures of convolutional neural networks (CNNs) …

The Nexus of Sustainability and Energy Technology Journal
The car's cooling system is crucial for keeping the engine at a safe temperature. According to the available literature, radiator fins and microchannels might use some small improvements. Poor thermophysical qualities of conventional heat transfer fluids lead to inefficient engine cooling. High-performance heat transfer fluids with optimal thermophysical qualities must be used to combat this. A lighter car with a more powerful engine might be achieved using a more efficient thermal fluid that allowed for a smaller radiator. In this study, we provide a quick analytical method for assessing radiator performance in an internal combustion engine. The effects of temperature …

The "Distributed Ghost" With Independence - A Study On Computational Ability Of Skewed Asynchronous Cellular Automata, Shrey Salvi, Shlok Shelat, Sumit Adak, Souvik Roy
Northeast Journal of Complex Systems (NEJCS)
This paper explores the computational ability of ``distributed ghost" cellular automata (CA) \cite{10.1162/artl_e_00450} after introducing independence in the updating scheme. Traditionally, the CA system dictates all cells to update together following the concept of the global clock. To introduce independence in the system, CA researchers have introduced the notion of fully asynchronous updating scheme with atomicity property where, again, the CA system dictates two neighbouring cells not to update together. In this study, we explore the skewed asynchronous system after breaking the atomicity property. Specifically, we study the computational ability of the proposed skewed asynchronous system in the context of …

Lithium nickel oxide (Li2NiO2), as a sacrificial cathode prelithiation additive, has been used to compensate for the lithium loss for improving the lifespan of lithium-ion batteries (LIBs). However, high-cost Li2NiO2 suffers from inferior delithiation kinetics during the first cycle. Herein, we investigate the effects of the cost-effective Cu substitution of Li2Ni1-xCuxO2 (x = 0, 0.2, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7) synthesized by high-temperature solid-phase method on the structure, morphology, electrochemical performance of graphite‖LiFePO4 battery. The X-ray Diffraction (XRD) refinement result demonstrates that Cu substitution strategy is favorable …

Due to the high capacity and moderate volume expansion of silicon protoxide SiOx (160%) compared with that of Si (300%), reducing silicon dioxide SiO2 into SiOx while maintaining its special nano-morphology makes it attractive as an anode of Li-ion batteries. Herein, through a one-pot facile high-temperature annealing route, using SBA15 as the silicon source, and embedding tin dioxide SnO2 particles into carbon coated SiOx, the mesoporous SiOx-SnO2@C rod composite was prepared and tested as the anode material. The results revealed that the SnO2 particles were distributed uniformly in the …
