Warm Mix Asphalt (WMA) has emerged as a sustainable alternative to conventional Hot Mix Asphalt by enabling asphalt production and compaction at reduced temperatures, thereby lowering energy consumption, emissions, and worker exposure to heat and fumes. Despite these advantages, the field performance of WMA remains influenced by technology-specific mechanisms, additive–binder compatibility, aggregate characteristics, moisture susceptibility, compaction quality, recycled material content, and climatic conditions. This review provides a critical synthesis of major WMA technologies, including foamed systems, chemical additives, organic waxes, hybrid additives, bio-based modifiers, and WMA mixtures incorporating reclaimed asphalt pavement. This study examines the psychological effects of immersive virtual reality (VR) experiences designed to preserve and disseminate intangible cultural heritage. It addresses the growing challenge of declining cultural engagement and the need for innovative tools that support psychological well-being, emotional engagement, and cultural connection. A VR-based reconstruction was developed within the historic Mahmoud Sami Al-Baroudi Palace in Mansoura, Egypt, focusing on traditional Egyptian practices and oral storytelling. The evaluation employed the WELL-MIND framework alongside participant feedback to assess both structured well-being indicators and subjective user experiences. This study investigates corrosion control of AISI 430 stainless steel in 1M HCl medium using an eco-friendly inhibitor extracted from pomegranate peel (PPE). The inhibition efficiency was evaluated at different PPE concentrations, with the highest applied concentration of 13g/L. Corrosion behavior was evaluated through weight-loss measurements and potentiodynamic polarization techniques conducted at room temperature.

The experimental results showed that corrosion resistance improved as the inhibitor  concentration increased. Lower corrosion rates were observed in the presence of PPE, along with reduced anodic and cathodic activities, indicating that the extract functions as a mixed-type inhibitor. The structural integrity of carbon fibre reinforced polymers (CFRPs) suffers from damage caused by interlaminar cracking and delamination which diminishes their performance capabilities. This study provides an experimental analysis of the impact of carboxyl-functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) on the Mode I interlaminar fracture toughness of CFRP laminates. Foamed concrete is defined as a type of concrete distinguished by its workability, low density, and insulating properties. It is used as building material. The objective of this review is to discuss the physical and mechanical characteristics and fire sensitivity of foamed concrete. Density influences the strength of concrete. The strength of concrete is between 2 and 3.5 MPa, which increased with the addition of gold mining waste, reaching approximately 35 MPa at optimal replacement levels.  There is a 60-70% reduction in strength for lightweight concrete with a density of 400-1200 kg/m³ compared to conventional concrete. Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology enables the exchange of electricity between electric vehicles (EVs) and the utility grid, helping improve the integration of renewable energy sources and the grid's flexibility. [Introduction] To the Editor: Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a progressive disease characterized by obstructive pulmonary arterial remodeling (1). Seralutinib, an investigational inhaled tyrosine kinase inhibitor, potently and selectively targets kinases relevant to PAH pathobiology including platelet-derived growth factor receptors (PDGFR) α and β, colony stimulating factor 1 receptor (CSF1R), and mast/stem cell growth factor receptor kit (c-KIT) (2). In preclinical models, seralutinib improved cardiopulmonary hemodynamics, reversed pulmonary vascular pathology and decreased right ventricular hypertrophy (3). In TORREY, a phase 2, multicenter, double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial in PAH, seralutinib significantly reduced pulmonary vascular resistance (PVR) after 24 weeks with good …

Urbanization is a dominant force driving destructive and irreversible changes of natural habitats in modern times. While the effects of urbanization on community composition and phenotypic responses are well-documented, its influence on genetic diversity and population structure remains understudied, particularly for invertebrates in subtropical regions. This study tested the hypothesis that urbanization reduces genetic diversity and increases population differentiation in the lynx spider Oxyopes sertatus, a common foliage-dwelling spider in Taiwan. This study investigates the relationship between electrical stimulus characteristics of shape and charge on evoked sensations and electroencephalogram (EEG) data during multi-waveform transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) of the median nerve. Neuromodulation methods have traditionally had little control over the location and quality of their associated evoked sensation (e.g., electric, vibration, touch). This experiment utilized five unique stimulus waveforms during TENS stimulation. EEG data were collected concurrently to provide an introductory objective measure of the neural responses underlying these sensory changes. Medical imaging enables rapid and accurate diagnosis of COVID-19, with CT scans proving especially effective. However, data privacy concerns limit collaborative model development across hospitals. To address this issue, we introduce a novel federated learning framework. It is referred to as Independent Knowledge Distillation with post-Ensemble Federated Learning (IKDEFL). Differential Privacy (DP) is integrated into the framework to improve privacy guarantees. Three DP mechanisms are evaluated. These include Fixed Gaussian, Gaussian Adaptive, and Tree Adaptive. Effective and interpretable classification of medical images remains a critical challenge in computer-aided diagnosis, particularly in data-scarce and resource-constrained clinical settings where traditional deep learning models prove impractical. This study addresses the fundamental barrier to Vision Transformer adoption in medical imaging—massive parameter counts and data requirements—through a systematic two-phase methodology. Phase 1 evaluates three spline-based Kolmogorov–Arnold Network (KAN) variants to identify the optimal nonlinear approximation function for parameter-efficient medical image classification: SBTAYLOR-KAN (B-splines with Taylor series), SBRBF-KAN (B-splines with Radial Basis Functions), and SBWAVELET-KAN (B-splines with Morlet wavelets). Even in solid materials, these random deformations, driven by ambient thermal energy, can become significant when their characteristic scale approaches that of the structure itself and strongly influence their overall mechanical behavior. Early detection of cognitive decline and efficient medical image analysis remain critical challenges in healthcare. Traditional clinical assessments are infrequent and resource-intensive, while everyday speech data and unlabeled medical images remain largely unexploited. This dissertation develops computational methods integrating machine learning and artificial intelligence across speech, text, and imaging modalities to address challenges in medical data processing. For cognitive monitoring, this work first introduces methods using voice assistant systems to collect longitudinal speech data in home environments, demonstrating that incorporating historical session patterns significantly enhances detection of mild cognitive impairment. This paper presents a DT framework developed to improve the energy performance of the Podium Office Building in Cairo Festival City, New Cairo, Egypt. This study introduces an operational evaluation of a deep learning–driven ionospheric modeling system tailored for Egypt, designed to overcome the limitations of conventional empirical approaches in data-sparse regions. The 3D-DNN Ion-EG model was trained on 737,110 COSMIC-2 radio occultation profiles (2020–2024), integrating spatial temporal coordinates with geophysical drivers to generate high-resolution threedimensional electron density distributions. Validation against the MANS CORS station (Mansoura University) demonstrated strong predictive skill (R2 = 0.9337; r = 0.970) under independent testing. The failure caused by punching shear is considered very dangerous because it happens suddenly. So, many researches have presented various methods to enhance the punching shear capacity by adding shear reinforcement like, vertical shear studs, stirrups or other means. In this study continuous stirrups is used as a shear reinforcement system. An experimental test includes four interior slab-column joints, of normal strength concrete, and an analytical study had been carried out to examine the efficiency of the proposed reinforcement system. Particle image velocimetry (PIV) flow measurements are common practice in laboratory settings in a wide variety of fields involving fluid dynamics, including biology, physics, engineering, and medicine. Dynamic fluid pressure is a notoriously difficult property to measure non-intrusively, yet its variation is a driving flow force and critical to model correctly. Techniques have been developed to estimate the pressure from velocity and velocity gradient measurements. In this work, three methods are proposed to identify parameters of PI controllers used for wind energy conversion systems based on DFIG. Mathematical model of generator and grid side system is depicted. Three tuning methods; bode-plot, pole-placement, and MATLAB tuner are used for grid side and rotor side converter controllers’ design. Wind turbine system with PI controller parameters obtained using the mentioned method is investigated via MATLAB/SIMULINK under three different scenarios.
