Quantization Of Fractional Constrained Systems With Wkb Approximation, Ola A. Jarabah
Quantization Of Fractional Constrained Systems With Wkb Approximation, Ola A. Jarabah
Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences
In this paper the constrained systems with two primary first class constraints are studied using fractional Lagrangian, after that we find the fractional Hamiltonian and the corresponding Hamilton Jacobi equation. Using separation of variables technique, we can find the action function S this function helps us to formulate the wave function which describe the behavior of our systems also from the action function S we can find the equations of motion and the corresponding momenta in fractional form. This work is illustrated using one example.
Applications Of The Ara-Residual Power Series Technique To Physical Phenomena, Aliaa Burqan
Applications Of The Ara-Residual Power Series Technique To Physical Phenomena, Aliaa Burqan
Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences
In this paper, a new analytical method called the ARA-Residual power series method (ARA- RPSM) is implemented to solve some fractional physical equations. The methodology of the proposed method based on applying the ARA-transform to the given fractional differential equations, followed by the creation of approximate series solutions using Taylor’s expansion. Then the series solution is transformed using the inverse of the ARA-transform to get the solution in the original space. Accuracy, effectiveness, and validity of the suggested method are demonstrated through the discussion of three attractive applications. The solution obtained using ARA-RPSM demonstrates good agreement when compared to the …

Applied Mathematics & Information Sciences
In this paper, we introduce a new generalization of Renyis entropy β(P) and the most important feature of this generalized entropy Rαβ (P) is that it derives most important entropies that are well known and influence information theory and applied mathematics. Some significant properties of Rαβ (P) has been undertaken in this article. In addition, we introduce a new generalized exponentiated mean codeword length Lβα (P) in this article then determine how Rβα (P) and Lβα (P) are related in terms of source coding theorem.

An Analytical Framework For Photonic Storage And Retrieval: Implications For Quantum Optical Networks, Billie V. Deluca
Theses and Dissertations
Quantum information and communication is the next revolution in information technology. However, communication through quantum networks will require the ability to transmit, store, and interact with photonic quantum bits (qubits). The focus of this dissertation is a theoretical description of a promising technology for storage of photonic states employing electromagnetically induced transparency (EIT). A general semiclassical model for EIT photonic storage will be developed, a key capability required for understanding the effect of storage that is independent of the photonic state being stored. This dissertation demonstrates the capability of this model to predict light pulses retrieved from EIT storage as …

The Philippine Agricultural Scientist
Estimating product drying kinetics is critical to obtain the best drying process without compromising product quality and necessitates the development of numerical drying models. This research aims to compare the prediction models developed using artificial neural network (ANN) and adaptive network-based fuzzy inference system (ANFIS), two popular machine learning approaches in the recent years. Zucchini slices were chosen as samples and dried in a solar-assisted microwave belt dryer at 0.245 m/min belt speed and microwave powers of 0.7, 1, and 1.4 kW. On the data set obtained by computing the moisture content and drying rate values, prediction models were developed …

When Routing Meets Recommendation: Solving Dynamic Order Recommendations Problem In Peer-To-Peer Logistics Platforms, Zhiqin Zhang, Waldy Joe, Yuyang Er, Hoong Chuin Lau
Research Collection School Of Computing and Information Systems
Peer-to-Peer (P2P) logistics platforms, unlike traditional last-mile logistics providers, do not have dedicated delivery resources (both vehicles and drivers). Thus, the efficiency of such operating model lies in the successful matching of demand and supply, i.e., how to match the delivery tasks with suitable drivers that will result in successful assignment and completion of the tasks. We consider a Same-Day Delivery Problem (SDDP) involving a P2P logistics platform where new orders arrive dynamically and the platform operator needs to generate a list of recommended orders to the crowdsourced drivers. We formulate this problem as a Dynamic Order Recommendations Problem (DORP). …

A Study On Rapidly Exploring Random Tree Algorithms For Robot Path Planning, Sahil Sharma
Master's Theses
Robot path planning is a critical feature of autonomous systems. Rapidly-exploring Random Trees (RRT) is a path planning technique that randomly samples the robot configuration space to find a path between the start and end point. This thesis studies and compares the performance of four important RRT algorithms, namely, the original RRT, the optimal RRT (also termed RRT*), RRT*-Smart, and Informed RRT* for six different environments. The performance measures include the final path length (which is also the shortest path length found by each algorithm), time to find the first path, run time (of 1000 iterations) for each algorithm, total …

Advanced Traffic Video Analytics For Robust Traffic Accident Detection, Hadi Ghahremannezhad
Dissertations
Automatic traffic accident detection is an important task in traffic video analysis due to its key applications in developing intelligent transportation systems. Reducing the time delay between the occurrence of an accident and the dispatch of the first responders to the scene may help lower the mortality rate and save lives. Since 1980, many approaches have been presented for the automatic detection of incidents in traffic videos. In this dissertation, some challenging problems for accident detection in traffic videos are discussed and a new framework is presented in order to automatically detect single-vehicle and intersection traffic accidents in real-time.

Dissertations
Scientific research generates vast amounts of data, and the scale of data has significantly increased with advancements in scientific applications. To manage this data effectively, lossy data compression techniques are necessary to reduce storage and transmission costs. Nevertheless, the use of lossy compression introduces uncertainties related to its performance. This dissertation aims to answer key questions surrounding lossy data compression, such as how the performance changes, how much reduction can be achieved, and how to optimize these techniques for modern scientific data management workflows.
One of the major challenges in adopting lossy compression techniques is the trade-off between data accuracy …

Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: Accurate short-term vehicle speed prediction helps to resolve city traffic congestion problems. Focusing on the defect that CNN cannot process non-Euclidean geometric data, GCN and BiLSTM are combined to fully process the spatiotemporal characteristics of road network information, in which the advantages of GCN integrating global features and the ability of BiLSTM to extract temporal features are considered. Abstract: To verify the performance of maneuvering target tracking algorithm, it's necessary to build a complex motion simulation model similar to the actual target motion situation. A simulation model of maneuvering target with controllable time correlation coefficient is constructed based on the idea of Singer model, and the suitability of Singer's maneuvering target tracking algorithm is verified when the time correlation coefficient does not match. Aiming at the problem that the traditional coordinated turning model only considers the change of normal acceleration, and the tangential acceleration is always assumed to be 0, which is not highly consistent with the actual …

Journal of System Simulation
Abstract: To investigate pedestrian evacuation under the sudden terrorist attack, an evacuation model is established for pedestrians taking into account the terrorist attack mode. The terrorist can take two strategies including attacking the nearest pedestrian and attacking the crowd in the model. The evacuation time, casualties and location distribution in various scenarios under different attack modes are analyzed. The results show that pedestrians need to maintain a proper escape intention when avoiding the terrorist. The closer the initial position of the terrorists to the exit, the greater the number of casualties and the longer the evacuation time. The effect of …
