The purpose of this study was to investigate and analyze the reading achievement of color blind children at the end of the first-grade in five randomly selected Albuquerque Public Elementary Schools to determine if there are any significant differences in their reading achievement and that of color vision children with similar I.Q. scores and to find if there is a relationship between this defect of vision and reading achievement.

It was the purpose of this study (1) to compare the cost of textbooks for grades one through six for the first class school districts in the State of Washington; (2) to establish an ideal textbook budget for optimum learning; (3) to find the useful life of a textbook as limited by durability and need for revision in certain subject areas, and (4) to investigate storage procedures, particularly central storage versus individual building storage, to determine the most efficient use of the basic and supplemental texts owned by a district.

The purpose of this study was twofold: to formulate an aerospace education handbook providing pertinent information and material which may be woven into existing sixth grade courses in the elementary curriculum and to make a careful evaluation of one aerospace program in a sixth grade classroom. The purpose of this study was (1) to determine if a classroom teacher could effect an increase in interest in independent reading shown by an intermediate level class through an intensified program of stimulation as measured against the reading interests evidenced by a comparable class not receiving the extra stimulation, and (2) to determine to what extent if any this stimulation of reading interests affected reading ability as measured by a standardized reading achievement test.
