The COVID-19 pandemic altered education in dramatic ways including immediate building closures and the implementation of virtual instruction. In March of 2020, Michigan faced a statewide shutdown on all non-essential travel as Michiganders were ordered to “Stay Home. Stay Safe.” Head Start began to provide remote services to families and students. Head Start lead teachers were charged with using virtual methods to teach their students. With little direction in the beginning and many unknowns, Head Start lead teachers used innovative methods to promote family engagement.

The effects of training on teachers’ self-regulated learning (SRL), self-efficacy for teaching, and perceived instructional effectiveness in computer-supported collaborative learning (CSCL) environments were investigated. Participants were 80 K-12 teachers who had recently transitioned to teaching in a CSCL environment when schools closed in response to the COVID- 19 pandemic. The researcher also explored how teachers use SRL skills in their learning and instruction. Training consisted of weekly collaborative meetings addressing pedagogy and technology connections. This study investigated perceived influence of study abroad experiences on intercultural competence in school psychologists and school psychologists-in-training. This exploratory descriptive qualitative analysis involved semi-structured interviews with a purposively sampled group (n = 20) of school psychologists (n = 10) and school psychology graduate students (n = 10) who studied abroad during their undergraduate or graduate programs. Participants responded to questions about their study abroad experience, how it affected them, what they learned about other cultures, and how it affected their career or career preparation. The aim of this study is to investigate the difference of XI grade science students’ metacognitive knowledge as the impact of POGIL and verification learning on solubility equilibrium topic. The study used quasy experiment design. Analysis is done using Mann-Whitney U test at 5% significance. The result showed that there is difference on students’ metacognitive knowledge who are taught by POGIL and verification learning. The students who are taught by POGIL have higer metacognitive knowledge than that of are taught by verification learning.

The purpose of this study is to analyze students' critical thinking especially on static fluid material through STEM PjBL accompanied by authentic assessment. The research design used mixed methods type embedded experimental design and the sample used in the study amounted to 32 students. Through the results of the analysis note that the learning process used is moderately influential on increasing students' critical thinking skills. In general, students experience an increase in all indicators of critical thinking.

The aim of research was to describe the effect of the application of Inquiry-Based Learning (IBL) integrated the Nature of Science (NOS) on student scientific literacy. The implementation design used was nonrandomized control group pretest-posttest design with research subjects using two classes namely VII C (control class) and VII D (experimental class) of SMP Laboratorium UM. Data was collected using a scientific literacy test and then analyzed descriptively and statistically and the results are that the application IBL integrated NOS influences students' scientific literacy with level of scientific literacy of students is included in the nominal and functional categories.

This study aimed to improve students’ writing performance in ESP subject by implementing Flipped Classroom and Collaborative activities. Classroom action research was applied as the method in this study was. According to the data obtained, 88,89% of the students experienced improvement at least 10 points compared to their initial writing product. Students active participation also improved which was shown by the average score that was above 3,0 points obtained from peer assessment rubric. Therefore, the combination of these two strategies was proven successful in improving students’ writing performance in ESP subject.

This study primarily wanted to explore students’ views and how they employ translation-related strategies to learn English. Five students from the accounting department, Universitas Negeri Malang participate in this qualitative case study. The findings showed that students consider translation has a positive contribution to their English learning. They also mentioned learning activities by using translation that can be categorized into several learning strategies. It is expected that the results of the study can raise awareness and exercise cautious use of translation as an effective learning strategy in English for the benefits of the students.
