This study is a comparative study of the implementation of the special education programmes for the children with learning disabilities In Malaysia and in Japan. The study is based on observations carried out by the researcher both in Malaysia and in Japan.  In brief this study touches on three major fields, that is, the curriculum of the programme for children with learning duties, and the roles of both professionals and parents in the implementation of the programmes.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between maternal employment and adolescent Adjustment. Adjustment in this research divided into two category, that is Personal Adjustment and Social Adjustment. Personal Adjustment has six sub-scales, namely Self Reliance, Sense Of Personal Worth, Sense Of Personal Freedom, Sense of Belonging, and Withdrawing Tendencies. Social Adjustment refers to Social Standards, Social Skills, Anti­-Social Tendencies, Family Relations, School Relations and Community Relations.

This study attempts to identify the interpretation of letters used in algebraic expressions and equations by a sample of 139 Form Four students in an urban secondary school. It also determines the distribution of their levels of understanding of algebraic notation and their cognitive levels. It further investigates the relationship between the levels of understanding of algebraic notation and cognitive levels. Besides the primary objective, the study also aimed to determine the different types of discipline problems existing in this school. A research has been carried out on 100 secondary school teachers of JAJS, Sabak Bernam. The aims of this research are, firstly, to detect the teachers' working motivation level: secondly, to detect the teachers' level of satisfaction towards motivator and hygiene/actors; thirdly, to detect the significant correlation between the satisfactory level towards motivator and hygiene factors, and the working motivation level; and fourthly lo detect the extend in which individual characteristics cause differences in working motivation factor. The purpose of this study is to examine the socioemotional behaviors of 45 five-year- old children in a child-initiated learning programme and 30 six-year-old children in a teacher-directed instruction programme based upon the Preschool and Kindergarten  Behavior Scale (Merrell, 1994). The findings of the study have shown that children in the Montessori/thematic play program have significantly lower social skills but significantly higher problem behaviors, compares to children in the teacher-directed  instruction programme.
